We are complete surfing beginners but we loved this! Partly because surfing is a looooot of fun, and partly because our instructor (called Oa) was fantastic - she really knew what she was talking about, had a great attitude to teaching (and life!), she got in the water with us to give us tips up close, and she also did a mid-lesson "debrief" to point out things she'd noticed that we could work on.
There were 5 of us in the class (my fiancee and I, a friend of ours and another couple we didn't know), which was a great size for learning, and the beach/sea felt also safe here for beginners. We just had a lot of fun, highly recommended :)

Me and my girlfriend had a private lesson with Joel and loved every single minute of it. It was our very first surf lesson and picked it up super fast due to our amazing instructor. 5 stars!

I was given a voucher for stand up paddle board lesson.
It was fantastic. Joel was my instructor and he was the best! Very informative and relaxed. I had a great time with lots of laughs. Thanks Joel!

My daughter and I had our first surf lesson with instructor Joel. Learned so much, well worth the private lesson. Joel was a great instructor with lots of great advice around surfing techniques and water safety, all done with lots of fun. Highly recommend a visit!

The kids had the best week with the ride a wave crew, who made sure each kid had individual 1:1 time to hone their skills asked on age and experience. The crew made each lesson memorable and informative and most of all fun. Highly recommend to do with siblings or friends as a group

Cobber was a highly professional, friendly and knowledgable instructor. This was my very first attempt at stand up paddle boarding and I couldn't have asked for a more patient, encouraging and informative instructor. I had so much fun (and managed to maintain my balnce on the board) it was the highlight of my trip.

I was a little apprehensive undertaking a solo SUP lesson but I needn’t have been.
My instructor, my guide, my guru was Joel and I was so very fortunate to be paired with him. We paddled around the waterways of Anglesea and we chatted like two friends would, it was effortless and so much fun. I really cannot speak highly enough of Joel and his positive and nurturing demeanour.
I recommend a solo lesson, it was great to be able to have that one on one interaction and honestly, after a little while I could not call it a lesson at all as it was simply two people paddling around chatting and enjoying the experience, I shall be back in a few months for a one on one surf lesson, and I shall be requesting the Joel is my instructor!

It was such a fun, positive and engaging experience. Out surf instructor Tano was really encouraging and made the lesson fun. He was a relaxed and helpful teacher. I highly recommended Go ride a wave Anglesea 😀

Had a great time learning how to surf! Tim the instructor was brilliant. He was super chill but made you feel whatever you did was amazing , and gave you the confidence to try again! Would recommend highly learnt lots too about the ocean and swimming! Big thanks had a fab time 😍

This was the best day out!! We did a private lesson as a family (2 adults, kids 11 and 13). Joel was so incredibly reassuring and welcoming, made everything seem so achievable and ensured we all had success. Great facilities, lovely staff. We had heaps of fun and would def go again. Highly recommend!!
