Our experience to the Titanic Museum was awesome! It was much more than we expected and spent many more hours inside than we expected.
Loved the idea of our passport with a real-life passenger person to learn about. Would love to do the tour again one day with more family and friends.

This is an extremely interesting and well done museum. We mostly went because it was raining but we were so glad we went. When you go in you get a card that describes a passenger. As you leave you find out if your passenger survived or not. They have the only photographs that were taken by a priest who got off the ship in Ireland. They have a replica of the grand staircase as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

The movie is one of my favorites, it was great to see all the beautiful clothes the women wore and the tea table was beautiful.
It reminds me of being a child and having tea with my Grandmother.

Started out the tour by receiving a passenger information card so as you went thru the exhibit you could look for photos or mention of your person. At the end of the exhibit you find out if your person lived or died. Fascinating historical details, tons of actual period artifacts. One room was set up like a first class sitting room, complete with period outfits on display. You are given an audio guide to follow along for more information in each room. Each room also has a kid-level trivia exhibit, and there are several hands-on exhibits like trying to send your own SOS telegraph, and learning how to tie maritime knots.

Great museum. Authentic dress for staff. Creates an atmosphere as though you are a passenger on the Titanic and shares historical information. Lots to see on this museum tour. Takes about an hour or more.

nothing interesting for $50 it is very expensive we booked for 11 am and there were a lot of people and I just felt like I was in a discovery channel documentary there is nothing interesting for children we were a group of 6 people and no one liked it

It was nice and had a lot of info if you were down for READING the entire time. Kids will be VERY bored with this, we ran thru in about 20 minutes

We are sorry you felt your visit was boring.
Everyday our museum goal is to share the Titanic passenger & crew stories.
We have been honored to have over 300 Titanic descendants visit us and every one says the same thing, "Thank you for telling our family story."
Within the museum there are many things for young people to participate in, including answering trivia throughout the ship, touching an iceberg, feeling the 28-degree cold water, getting into a life-sized lifeboat, steering the ship, and trying to walk the sloping decks as the ship was about to go under the water. Plus, the young people audio tour is a storytelling adventure.
Again, we are sorry our museum disappointed you.

They have a model of the sloped deck as various stages in the sinking so yes, you can walk up the sloped surface of a deck mockup to feel what it was like when the ship was sinking. Very disorienting!

I am looking forward to visiting your museum. I'm not exactly sure what time I'll be able to get there. If I pre-purchase a ticket and show up an hour earlier than my scheduled time would I be able to enter the museum at the earlier time? What would happen if I show up 30 minutes or an hour later than my scheduled time? Thank you!

TexSteve - This page is from travelers such as your self who have visited the museum. We can give you our experiences, but in this case as I am not extremely familiar with their policies I will have to speculate. My guess is that you will be welcome if you are either early or late other than on an extremely busy day, then I think that they will still try to fit you in. Myself, I always show up early, the worst that can happen is that I have to wait.
I hope that you enjoy the museum as much as I did.

Should be open year round. My mom and I spent 4 hours exploring the many untold stories of the tragedy. I was very very impressed with the museum. Was actually one of the best parts of our long weekend.
