Elmer was a great guide! He has broad knowledge about Mayan archeology and history, showed us all aspects of the magnificence of Tikal. He’s also knowledgeable about the jungle, showed us unique animals and plants there. He made our trip much better than expectations!

We were so glad to choose Elmer’s company. He responded right away to all our question and help with our decisions. Very professional and assertive.
Driver was nice, polite and on time.
Josue the guide, was awesome, very knowledgeable, pleasant, educated and patience with us.
We highly recommend Tikal Vip Tour company to anyone that want to have a special experience in Tikal!

The tour was simply fantastic. We left early to get ahead of the busy crowds. The van was new and very clean. Elmer our guide was one of the best I have ever experienced. He had great knowledge and was very accommodating. This trip had been a bucket list event for me for several year. It simply couldn't have gone better. Tikal is simply magnificent!!!

What can I possibly say that hasn't already been said? Elmer is amazing! He communicated with me on Whatsapp weeks before with all the trip details and checked in with me regularly. My husband and I stayed in Flores the night before the tour and there was Elmer right on time in the lobby the next morning. The tour started immediately, with him telling us about Flores and Santa Elena while his driver took us in the beautiful air conditioned van to the site. The info never stopped. Our questions never stopped. On the walking inside, he took us on a route different than most others. He pointed out things no guidebook I read mentioned. He put the history in context. He referenced everything from Star Wars to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He knows all the plants and animals. He spotted spider monkeys, a toucan, a wood pecker, a sleeping howler monkey, all before anyone else. And he seems as excited as we were! The tour included a delicious, relaxed meal in the park after the tour and a ride back to the Belize border - with him explaining the life of those living along the route. We are budget travelers and don't usually do this kind of thing but it was worth every dime. Elmer loves his job and loves sharing history and the region with you. If you really, truly want to experience Tikal, you gotta go with Elmer. Wow.

We booked our private transfer with Elmer to the Tikal ruins so that we could travel on our own schedule as we had limited time and it was flawless! Elmer was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and made us feel very safe (two sisters). His van was very comfortable, clean and with strong air conditioning. He provided us with some guidance for navigating the park despite not having a guide. Elmer provided us with a radio at the Tikal park in case we could not contact him via phone but as soon as we returned at the entrance he was ready for us. He drove us to a local restaurant for lunch (restaurant Gonzales) on the way back to flores which was the best meal we have had in all of Guatemala! He was very helpful pointing out supermarkets and pharmacy on the way home. We feel very lucky to of had Elmer as our driver, helpful guide and ball of knowledge during our trip to Tikal! Couldn’t recommend him more

I have travelled the world but Elmer our guide is just one of the best I have experienced. He is very knowledgeable, patient answers all questions before the trip via email ., and kind. He is very professional and patient. Extremely flexible . During the tour I got dehydrated and he went and bought Gatorade several times. Which was a life saver for me. The trip was very reasonable and he took us to a local guatemelan restaurant which had awesome food. Honestly I would give him six stars .his van is airoconditioned and very comfortable. Book you will not regret .
