Great day out with great views and pictures

Went on the tour this morning and it was great. Driver came to the hotel picked us up at the reception and was a short drive to the place

Staff were friendly and helpful thru the safely Brief and controls of the quad.

The journey up was on the quads was great don't know why some reviews saying they were gong slow I was nearly full throttle at some points which was great way to cool down.

Stopped for photos, and the photographer was funny and got some incredible pictures.

Only negative I can think of is that my bum was sore after a while on the seats

Disappointing

Overrated experience, unwelcoming staff, you almost had to be afraid to take some photos due to the constant scolding.
Excessive price for an hour and a half of travel which can easily be done by renting a vehicle (which costs even less) and you can at least have the freedom to stop and photograph as much as you want.

Quad biking above the clouds

Instructors and photographer were brilliant, quads were fun and views were amazing!

At the end they provided pizza and drinks which were also great!

Expensive but life's too short not too sometimes

Booked the excursion online, for the following Tuesday but was then called by one of the ladies and advised the Tuesday slots that were listed as available were in fact not free, as such I had to take the next day. This was quite disconcerting but via WhatsApp, we exchanged messages regarding the free hotel pick-up and on the day waited outside our hotel. When the Quad Excursions Mini bus arrived we were first in before picking up 2 sets of 2 couples. Both these separate sets were Italians which was a precursor of what was to come. Once We arrived at the Quad Excursions Office in Chio, we were met with at least 8 other tourists who would be on the same excursion which were......all Italian too. Given the fact that we were the only 2 English speakers bar the guides the pre-tour briefing took quite a while. We were offered to take out extra insurance (15 Euros PP) which I always find is a swizz and I figured I would spend the money saved on the pro photos. We were the only 2 that had individual quad bikes but at 140 Euros per bike, it wasn't the cheapest choice. Everyone was advised to leave their back pacts in the car that accompanies the tour but that just meant those that did never go to access their packs till the end of the tour. As it was we headed off and rode along the roads with both a car in front and behind our quad train. The tour involved an initial stop in the woods once off-road which was when most photos were taken. Then we made a second stop near an old lava flow for more photos. At both these stops one of the guides explained in Italian & English the history of the forest and the volcano. On the last third of the tour, we were back on the road and stopped at a cafe in the base town of Chio. Advertised as Pizza & Carva (I thought the idea of a driving event and alcohol a strange bedfellows) it turned into Water and Pork/Chips. After returning to base we were guided through the photos of the day. This was the selling aspect. Pics cost 25 Euros and included all those taken on the day. Truth be told the photos were quite poor quality, i.e. decent camera but poor execution, but I was able to improve them using photo editing software at home. The date we did the tour was Wednesday 04th October 2023. The best aspect was the brilliant female guide/photographer. Take your mobile and take your own photos.

The worst of the worst to absolutely avoid!

From reception we were spoken to like children, listing to us in a peremptory and authoritarian manner a multitude of so-called safety rules to follow during the trip.. taking photos or filming with the phone outside of stops was prohibited. Both hands on the handlebars at all times.. obligation to follow the previous one at 2 meters.. no more. Obligation to stay on the same line etc etc. which means that the little bit of off road presents no interest apart from that of following each other in single file at 15 hm/h max and swallowing dust in no never see any landscape! Halfway through we were put in a car and they moved our quad onto a trailer for non-compliance with their rules! Other participants took our side by denouncing a total scam compared to the experience described when booking! Impossible to get reimbursed / insurance scam, they took our money without making us sign anything! We came across management made up of insulting and authoritarian Italians / procedure in progress

Very good experience

Good English and very kind people. Hotel pickups was perfect. Would really recommend this to everyone. They even made pictures which you could buy for a small fee

A good day

A fun day out, great for beginners to quad driving. The tour guides Leonardo and Cristiano were very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. Some of the driving is done on the main roads the rest is off road where you can get very dusty!! So recommend wearing clothes your not too fussed about. Helmets and jackets provided for you. :)

The tour is definitely not as advertised. Almost the whole tour is done on the main road and you are not allowed to go very fast, I think we were lucky if we went over 35 km/hour. On top of this there is load of waiting about and definitely not a three hour tour. The highlight is the very pleasant staff and the pizza at the end.

Super excursions , très beau paysages, malgré des moments poussiéreux (prendre un masque est une bonne idée ils en fournissent pour 2.50€) .

Magnifique photos faites pour 25 euros au total .
