We all had a nice experience and our guide Sheral was very good. The only issue is the pickup instruction provided. Our family gathered in The View Hotel lobby at 5pm (15 minutes before departure)as directed in our instructions. No one was there. We asked the hotel clerk and she confirmed we wait in the lobby by the bar. We tried calling the customer service number provided but it went straight to voicemail. When one of us stepped outside to look for a group or truck he noticed at a distance from the hotel a group. A guide approached him and confirmed it was our intended group. There is no signage around the property to direct visitors where to go. It was frustrating because we could have missed the tour had we stayed in the lobby and it was expensive. Hopefully they can rectify this issue.

I very much recommend this tour. 3 hours flew by very quickly with so much to see. Our tour guide Larry Team was very good about answering questions and had lots of fun tips and tricks for taking great pictures.

We took the sunset tour and it was so much fun. Our tour guide was Marjorie (or March), she was excellent at explaining the rock formations, their names and sharing the history of this beautiful place. She stopped so we could take pictures and provided raincoats since it rained a little while on the tour. She sang for us in one of the cave stops too. We enjoyed our evening with Marjorie, shared a lot of laughs. It was a tour we won’t soon forget. We stayed at The View in the valley which was awesome and nice they picked from there.

We went wirh Larry Team and the experience was great! He told us about the history of the place and the trubes who had lived there. Wonderfull experience!

Marjory is a wonderful guide. She is witty and knowledgeable. The landscape is awe inspiring. A great little shop awaits as well. Do not miss sampling the Navaho bread!

Wir haben eine fantastische Tour mit unserer Guide Sandrea gehabt. Zu Beginn haben wir die allgemein zugänglichen Orte und Aussichtspunkte abgefahren. Danach sind wir ins Hinterland gefahren. Sandrea hat uns extrem viel über ihr Volk erzählt. Für die Kinder war die fahrt über die Sandpisten ein Highlight. Für mich der Sonnenuntergang in Mitten der Wildnis begleitet von Sandreas Gesängen und Flötenmusik! Wau! Wir waren eine kleine Gruppe und haben fast eine Stunde länger als geplant im Monument Valley verbracht. Nicht mehr so heiss gegen Abend.

Larry Team was our Navaho guide and drove us out into the farthest points in the valley. We saw several unique sites as well as a local weaver of Navaho rugs. Larry provided deep insights to his culture as well as the geology of the valley. A must do activity when visiting.

It's an open jeep, actually they are pick up trucks with seats added onto the bed. There are many different times for tours throughout the day.

We have premium room booked at the View Hotel and unsure whether to soak up the sunset from there or take the sunset tour? How far away is Gouldings, I heard you can eat there and watch one of films - welcome suggestions.

We did the sunset tour and enjoyed it - sunset wasn't spectacular that evening but the tour was very good (bumpy).
Gouldings wasn't far But don't expect a cocktail - the Reservations are dry. We brought a bottle of wine into our room for later.
We had one of the rim side cabins and the sunrise was SPECTACULAR - hope you are facing that way for the morning show! Have a blast - if you haven't already reserved - don't miss Antelope Canyon - reservations may say they are booked but show up they had spaces available for walk ups when we were there. It was also very good - photographs were amazing - they catch colors your eyes don't - all guides were very good too! - we tipped all our guides $10 each and they were very thankful.

Hi folks... I just booked a sunset tour for September 15, 2022 but need to know if there will be space to park our truck plus 16' camper at the View Motel while we are on the tour? If not, do you have any suggestions for me? I am just now planning the trip, so not sure where we will be camping (but not at the KOA... too expensive for us). Hoping to find cheap place to overnight after the tour as we will be making our way to the campground on the north rim of Grand Canyon the next day. Thanks for your help.

The parking lot at the View Hotel is quite large. At that time of year, with schools in session and summer travelers off the roads, you should have no problem parking your truck and camper. You can always reach out to the hotel to confirm, but I'm quite sure you will be ok.
Are there restroom facilities during this trip?

There are some portable restrooms like the ones you see on construction sites available from time to time, but nothing else.
I am traveling solo and would like to take a tour. what do you suggest I do please?

The sunset monument tour includes back country access that isn’t available to the self driving tour. You get access to petroglyphs and arches. Total tour is 3 hours and worth every cent!

Our family enjoyed a fabulous "Sunset" tour from 5 to 8 p.m. We stayed at "The View hotel" cabins with an unobstructed view of the 2 "Mittens" and "Merrick" over 1000 ft. tall from the base of MV. We were told to meet 15 mins. before our tour in the lobby of hotel. Though no food is allowed during the tour, water is supplied throughout. We stopped at 3 places where Navajo jewelry and art were available. We snacked before and ate at the "The View" restaurant afterward - the food was tasty and relatively inexpensive. Our MV Tribal Tours trip was lead by Yvonne, who I absolutely would recommend to everyone. Knowledgeable, entertaining, she captured the immense beauty of MV and its' sacred meaning to the Navajo people. A wonderful experience.
