The views were amazing and it ended up being a private tour. The guide was a good driver; but, that’s about it.
Not a lot of info was divulged. I was asking all of the questions and it ended after 1 3/4 hours, which was fine. Do not take the trip unless you have a strong back…it’s very bouncy.

We had a great experience on the tour. It was a pretty chilly day and we were grateful when we saw that Larry, our guide, brought the enclosed van. Not only did he take us to beautiful and interesting spots he also shared his experience of life in the valley. Thank you Larry!

The description of the departure location was a house in turquoise. However, this house belongs to another agency, which didn't know exactly what was going on, and we were sent back and forth. In the end, it turned out that our driver was 30 minutes late and we were actually in the right place. At first, no one was reachable by phone. After calling and texting a lot, we were simply told to wait for the driver.
After the tour started 30 minutes later, it was a really great route. (Although every tour probably runs like this)
Unfortunately, the driver explained very little and we were back after 2:10 hours (a big difference for a 2.30 hour tour)
All in all, the tour was nice, but this wasn't the agency's fault.
I would recommend another organization.

I'm sorry..My driver's always make sure they never do that..I don't know why they will do that on ur tour. Unless u went with a different company. My driver don't do mistakes like that..I'm so sorry.

Going into the back country beyond what you can see from the main loop was absolutely worth it. The landscape is amazing to see from any angle, but the added petroglyphs, caves, and arches were wonderful to see.

Seeing Monument Valley was awe inspiring! Glad we didn't do the self-guided tour in my son's car, that road looked horrible for non high-clearance vehicles. Not having to drive and being able to go into the back country made the tour worth it!
We booked the tour the day before, not sure how Navajo Nation would be on the day of the Annular Eclipse. The Park opened at 1pm and our tour was for 2pm, but we started late since the tour party was waiting on more people to get in through the entrance. Unfortunately, I feel we didn't get the full tour, or at least less time at each site. The guide, though very nice and personable, didn't seem as knowledgeable as those I read about on the reviews. I would still recommend the tour though.

Totally worth it -- we got to see so much more than the public loop! Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and a great photographer too! We don't usually do tours, but I'm so glad we gave this one a try!

We made the 2,5 h Tour, it was fantastic.
Our guide Amory was very great, he told us interessting things about the valley and the tradition. He also make perfect photos. Thank you for the great adventure.

The tour was absolutely worth it. Ray was a great guide. Two little notes. The trucks are inside the gates which I was not expecting....so show up early to get through the entry gate, pay your $8 fee, and find the correct truck. It is a truck with bench seats in the back, not a Jeep. Just clarifying for you.
But, even with above, I still consider the guided version worth it. You do get to get into native only sections (since the guides are native), and you do get better insight into the features and history of the area.
It really is stunning.

Are the entrance fee included in the tour? If not, how much each entrance fee to the attraction points?

The entrance fee is NOT included. I believe it was $16.00 per day (don't recall if it's per person or per vehicle - there were 2 of us) BUT if you are staying at the View hotel or the Cabins, they reimburse for the daily fee.
