我们的弗农山之旅很精彩，从游客中心拿到的小册子上，适合孩子们的活动很少，来这里参观让他们很感兴趣。如果能完成旅程的话，他们还能得到一点小奖励。我唯一的建议就是，别在大热天去。因为参观庄园要走很多路，天热的时候真是一种酷刑！

Well worth it! I wish the people inside the Manson were as knowledgeable as the 2 gentlemen that took us on the grounds tours. They were both truly incredible in their knowledge of both the enslaved people and the National Treasure movie filmed on site. Get your tickets in advance. The private group tours sell out.

We did the private tour called Through Their Eyes....which was absolutely outstanding. It was an hour long and was very well done. My issue was with the regular mansion tour. I have been on this tour several times and always enjoyed it. Today however the guides were really lacking,except for the first guide in the reception room he was good. In the past, as you approached each room the guide in that area would tell interesting stories and tell you what you were looking at etc. Today there with the exception of the first room none of them said anything...no descriptions or anything. I was very disappointed. It is probably pretty boring to say the same thing over and over but that's what they are there for.

We became members of Mt. Vernon, the home of George Washington. I am so happy that we support this home of a important President.
It was a fabulous Christmas tour. The Mount Vernon Women are to be congratulated on their care of this historic home. Thank the Lord, they refuse to bow down to the “cancel culture”.
I was curious because during his time , GW did not decorate for Christmas his home. Our tour guide said that it wasn’t done at the time.
I was expecting the home to look like homes in Williamsburg,Virginia.
It still was so worth the visit. Tour guides are excellent. Every time we visit, we do learn something new.

Well worth the price of admission to see the Father of our country's home. You get to see the inside of the mansion and room, by room detailed information of who would come and go on a daily basis.

I learned a lot about the enslaved people, which I understand. However, that’s all I learned about. About General and Martha Washington I learned very little. About the specific items in the room or history of the home we learned very little. Probably 80% of the talk focused on the enslaved.

Did the National Treasure tour - highly recommend!!! Tour Guide James was excellent and friendly, shared a lot of the how the movie was filmed there. Very cool. Also did the Mansion tour which was cool and quick. The staff is very knowledgeable about the Mansion and the history of it.

Just go ahead and pay for the private tour. The docents are great. You’ll learn SO much. You see the parts of the mansion that aren’t seen with ordinary admission. Just do it!

I'll start off by saying that buying tickets online was a mess. I was buying grounds tickets and private tour, but then it made me click a button asking if i wanted to view the house before hitting continue. Hitting that button cost 2.00 extra when I got to final screen. I was afraid to X it off, so I called and ordered the tix and the person told me it was basically a "problem" and they were trying to fix that. How many people were charged 2.00 for no reason? I was already paying 241.00.
Anyhow, the confirmation email tells me to pick up my tickets 30 min prior to the tour time. That's just just great because the place is locked up like Fort Knox until 9 a.m. and my tour starts at 9:15 and is nowhere near where I was standing. It was Father's Day, so I don't know why, but I didn't expect the 1,000,000,000,000,000 school students and buses out front. If I had actually not pushed past all those kids, Id have missed my tour and forfeited the $.An Asian woman through the gate bars told me all would be fine, but if someone has a house tour and has to have their bags checked and wait behind 1000000000000000 people, its not gonna work. They need a better option for people that are paying for house tours that are times. But, Mt Vernon doesn't seem to care about that bc I was trying to tell them that through the gate. Once the gate is opening, you still have to have your bags checked- someone was yelling that at us like cattle. Someone told us to go inside and stand by the statues where theyd check our bags. No one was, so I sought someone out and told them WE ARE GOING TO MISS OUR TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the most unorganized place I have ever been to. No one ever did check our bags, Once we SCURRIED to the house, the tour guide was at least 70 years old, not friendly and not very informational considering they said they had been doing tours there for 19 years. We were hurried through the house as fast as possible because the 1 million kids were enroute behind us. Save your money and go to Monticello-it was way more organized and just...BETTER.

Took a private tour with "Luxury Tours of Mount Vernon", owned and guided by Ken Roberts. Picked up in Old Town Alexandria, then drove to Mt. Vernon and brought back when the 4 hour tour of Mt. Vernon was completed. Excellent tour, both from the perspectives of seeing all there is to see in Mt. Vernon, and the relaxed and very knowledgeable guiding provided by Ken Roberts. So much better, and not that much more expensive, than a crowded and impersonal bus tour. Very highly recommended.

Couples might want to check out USA Guided tours. You can spend a leisurely visit there and get to see as much as you want when you want. There are private tours available but they’re pricey.
