Absolutely fantastic . 23 gr in the water in November. Possibility of shower in the beginning of the facility near the restaurant. All for free. Cool with all the waves outside and quite calm between the lava rocks.

We hired a car and drove to this western point of Maderia. Very windy roads but easy to drive on. Parking is not free but plenty of it. Lots of cafe/eating places. A bit commercialised.
The natural rock swimming pools were amazing but it was a red flag day for wind so not for me. However people did go in. Would recommend water shoes. Believe there are.lockers but most people just left bags by the rocks. Free to access and take photos.

they say its Natural Swimming Pools but its been all modernised for tourists .Which i can understand. However the other side of Bay are Natural Pools and they are so much better

The pools are nice. The water is very cold in February but once you get in it feels great. To access you pay 3 euros each. There are bathrooms with changing rooms and also extra paid lockers to leave things. There are also showers. You lie down on the floor but I think there is the possibility of renting deckchairs even if I only saw them stacked up. Particular and recommended experience

It's a great adaptation of natural pools (I'm evaluating paid pools, not the "old" ones). For having decent conditions, support, changing rooms, etc. deserves a good evaluation. And the sea came in there anyway!

En nuestra visita a Porto Moniz, encantador pueblo al noroeste de Madeira, disfrutamos de un maravilloso baño en estas piscinas naturales de origen volcánico. Hay dos partes, una más acondicionada de explotación privada que te cobran una entrada y otra zona sin piscinas públicas más en naturales, aunque algo acondicionadas para poder entrar sin accidentes. Nos bañamos en estas últimas; el agua entra continuamente por lo que están limpias y resguardadas del oleaje. Hay un restaurante en la entrada muy amplio y otros por la zona. El día estaba expectacular por lo que el baño era obligado y genial. Si como es mi caso vives en otras islas volcánicas has disfrutado de otras piscinas similares, lo cual no le resta encanto a estas. Si vienes a Madeira, visita obligada

Westtour - wurden am Hotel abgeholt jnd zurückgebracht. War wunderschön und Guide Renato 10/10. Er erzählt gute und informative Geschichten und es wird nie langweilig! Er hat ein sehr gutes Gespür für Menschen.

We didn't actually swim there as we wasn't prepared. It looked very inviting and not over crowded. The area around there is a great place to visit.

The guide was VERY RUDE. Because of him our day was ruined from the beginning of the trip. My friend even cried because he continuously commented on her in a sarcastic way in front of the whole group. This was very sad. We never experienced something like this.
