Simplesmente maravilhosa a excursão! O guia Eduardo sempre muito prestável, simpático, profissional. Passou nos muitos conhecimentos e informação sobre a ilha da Madeira. Foi muito bom, e muito melhor do que alugar um carro alugado. Fiquei muito impressionada com a excursao e com a Madeira. Parabéns pelo exelente trabalho

The whaling museum is there. First half very in-depth and very good. Second half just for kids. Worth a look.

Fernando our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all things Madeira! The timings were right, though it was a whole 9-5 day there were plenty of opportunities to walk, explore, take photos and relax for lunch so the day was broken up nicely.

Very nice trip with many stops and good picture- time. Very glad we did this tour.
And, we don't talk about Bruno! 😍
I packed for a swim in Porto Moniz, but didn't do it, 🐤. ☁️🌊
We did have good weather mostly!
West Madeira gave me flashbacks from travelling on New Zealand, South Island, Australia and Bosnia.

We were two friends and there was only one other girl joining us. We enjoyed the beautiful views, great company and our very kind, experienced driver/guide (thank you, Victor!). It felt like a private VIP tour! Highly recommended!

Our tour was fairly priced compared to others we had seen. Our major issue was that our group of 16 had 4 English speakers and 12 Portuguese speakers meaning that the guide would speak for 5/10 minutes in Portuguese and then 1/2 minutes in English. We felt we missed out on a lot of information about some of the places we visited and didn't have our questions answered. The tour itself was interesting but we did an East island tour with the same company the day before which I would recommend more than the west.

This a must must do tour when in Madeira. All the beautiful scenes captured in one trip.
Service was great, no issues at all. Probably one of the most good value tour company I could find but I am super happy with the service.

The tour guide was great and we got to see lots of amazing spots. Definately one of the highlights was swimming in the lava pools in Porto Moniz. We did the more natural „for free“ pool.

Ernesto took us on a well-informed, highly entertaining and educational tour of the West (and NorthWest) of Madeira.
Ernesto is a great, funny guy - he speaks French, English and Portuguese fluently; he knows Madeira’s history, geography and plants very well... and he was always attentive, kind and answered every single question.
I asked him how come he has such an
in-depth knowledge of East End London slang expressions, and he said he spent 10 years in Southend, Essex (UK) driving buses for Arriva (big UK bus company) and playing/coaching the local football team - this also explains his excellent / safe driving!
We covered all of Câmara De Lobos, Cabo Girão viewpoint, Ribeiro Bravo, Paul Da Serra, Encumeada viewpoint, Porto Moniz (excellent lunch break!), Seixal and São Vicente - before returning to Funchal.
I have now been on 3 of DG Travel’s Tours and would highly recommend their West Tour (and/or any other tour that Ernesto is leading) - this is great value for money and a wonderful day out for anybody!!! :-)
