Tommy was an excellent tour guide. He provided great communication prior to our tour and was a wealth of information during the tour. His knowledge and pride as a Porto native shone throughout the day.
I was a little apprehensive about booking a six hour tour and leaving an entire day of our trip up to someone else. However, it ended up being one of my favorite parts of our trip. I would strongly recommend booking a tour with Portoalities. You will not be disappointed.

The favorite part was learning so much from Tommy, our guide. He has such an incredible knowledge of Porto and his passion for this city truly shines through with every conversation. He knows so many stories and is so engaging when speaking about the history. As he said, "I don't have TikTok, but I DO have Wikipedia." If you get the opportunity, sign up for whatever tours you can because you will not be disappointed.

I would highly recommend a walking trip around The Porto. My family did a 4 hour walking tour with our guide Tommy. He was wonderful and kept us all very engaged with stories of the old town. He came very well informed and was very insightful. We thoroughly enjoyed the sights and scenes of the city and of course our very first introduction to Tawny and Ruby Port wine 🍷

If you are visiting Porto you need to book a portoalities tour! We ended up taking two of their tours during our 5 day visit and could not be happier (half day private Porto tour and Douro valley wine tour). We had Tommy as our tour guide and can not recommend him enough. He made each tour very memorable, fun, and truly knows so much about the history of Porto and the wine making process. He made the tour feel so personalized and was able to answer every question we had. When we visit Porto again we will definitely only be booking with them. 10/10!

I was having a difficult time finding a company that offered what I wanted, which was a wine tasting experience with smaller producers without any of the additional boat rides, etc, and transportation. So I was so happy to find Portoalities, which was able to structure our tour to exactly what I was looking for. We were able to taste from a small producer, who made great ports and were a joy to speak with and a medium producer with great wines and a beautiful property. Additionally they provided transportation to and from our location, making it very convenient. Sara was a wonderful tour coordinator and I loved the fact that the tour focused on Portuguese owned wineries. It was a great experience and would definitely recommend.

Hi Sara - Just a short note to let you know how much we enjoyed our day with Tommy! He was very informed, had the perfect wineries picked out, was very pleasant to be with and we really appreciated his honesty and opinions throughout the day! Tivemos uma experiência incrível ao passear e conhecer a cidade do Porto com a nossa guia Sara, foram momentos leves e divertidos com a Sara nos contando a história de Porto, suas peculiaridades, coisas que os livros não ensinam , cantinhos que os guias não mostram. A cave mais especial, o passeio a pé pela ponte, o transporte por teleférico. Coisas legais como o seu restaurante favorito, lugares onde os locais frequentam.. enfim, conhecemos uma Porto com alma, muito mais que as fotos podem nos mostrar.

Our group had a great trip in the Douro valley. The perfect and knowledgeable guide Tommy guided us through the wineyards, the Douro valley, river boat trip and winery visit. We learned a lot about the wines and wine production and much more. Highly recommended.

Great day with Tommy who provided a full day of entertainment and history of the city. After a Port tasting and walk of the city stopped for a nice lunch and traditional Francesinha. Tommy really gave a full tour of the city where we got all of the important points.

Fantastic tour. Tommy was professional, a great conversationalist, and extremely knowledgeable of both Porto history and the wineries. The Douro Valley is beautiful and the private winery tour and tasting fun and educational. The CEO, Sara, is highly organized and made the pre-tour planning easy.
