Wow! What a fabulous time we had aboard the lovely Shore Thing. Three days of incredible snorkelling, guided by the crew - Captain Duke, Hendrik and Kate - so capable, knowledgable and loads of fun! Ningaloo Reef is truely extraordinary and the crew planned stops where we could experience a vast array of different coral and reef life. It gave me a greater appreciation of the watery world down below ... very, very special! Even swam with a Manta Ray and visited the 'shark cleaning station'!! The cabin we had was excellent and the food superb! Lovely final touch of a take home video prepared by the talented Hendrik. All in all, an amazing, eye opening adventure!!

We absolutely loved our three night snorkel trip with Sail Ningaloo! We were well looked after by Duke, Charlotte and Hendrik and enjoyed snorkelling at a diverse number of sites. Highlights included swimming with manta rays; close encounters with turtles and sharks; sitings of large dolphin pods and sailing over turquoise waters. Sunsets from the bow of the boat with a wine in hand were magical. The food was fabulous, with many meals cooked on the bbq and accompanied by fresh salads. Our cabin with ensuite bathroom was very comfortable and we slept well at night; in the knowledge that we were securely anchored. Highly recommend this tour!

Amazing, such a fun trip. The crew were great, friendly, very knowledgeable on marine life and always good with safety, very competent. They went above and beyond to ensure we had great experiences such as snorkeling with Manta Rays, watching whales play, dives and snorkeling in areas with lovely live coral and loads of fishes, turtles, sharks. Lots to see from the yacht as well, dolphins, different colors of the water, the sunsets and dawns. Our trip on the Shore Thing was an unforgettable experience which I will cherish forever.
The cabin was comfortable, food excellent, love having Hendricks video & photos to show friends and look back on later.

The trip was so well managed, the crew of three were so capable with looking after eight adults. The captain Duke doubled not only as the boat captain but a great bbq chef as well. The meals were prepared by Kate who doubled with Hendrik as the dive masters. They were all magic and determined to see that we all saw the magic animals of the area including a whale shark, a truly great holiday.

After a 2 year delay due to COVID so great to be back out with Sail Ningaloo. This was our 4th trip, with our two (now adult) daughters and every bit as good as previous trips. Many great snorkels with heaps of wonderful aquatic wildlife to see, including plenty of Turtles, some lovely manta swims and beautiful coral and fish. Lots to see from the boat too with sooo many humpbacks as well as dugongs and dolphins. Great to have the owner Luke as our skipper this time who ensured we went to the best possible spots for the conditions. Weather was lovely with plenty of sunshine and some nice breeze to get the sails up. the whole crew were wonderful - thanks Kate for just the best food and Hendrick for sharing your deep knowledge of the reef and it's inhabitants on our many snorkels. Wish we could have stayed out longer - might be tempted to a 5 nighter next time!

what a wonderful experience, We would like to thank skipper Luke and his crew Cate, Charlotte, Hendrick for the good care. My personal special thanks to "angel" Cate. Because of her I was able to overcome a lot of fear and have snorkeling. We saw whales, manta rays, dolphins, turtles.

Nature was on display at its best and in abundance - humpback whales with calves, reef sharks, turtles, dugongs, mantarays, stingrays, dolphins, large and small fish, stunning corals (soft and hard). We also enjoyed some wonderful weather (3 cloudless days with little or no wind and calm seas). The catamaran, Shore Thing, was in good condition and we were accompanied by 3 wonderful, friendly and supportive crew - our skipper, dive instructors/photographers. We had a truly memorable 3 days sailing on Ningaloo reef from Coral Bay. We can certainly highly recommend the trip to this beautiful part of the world.

Our voyage with Duke, Kate and Hendrick was absolutely incredible. They absolutely over-delivered on our Ningaloo Reef experience, taking us to many stunning snorkelling sites where we saw all the marine life we had hoped to encounter and more. They were all highly knowledgeable and ensured we felt safe and confident in the water. On board, the experience continued with great food and company. Sail Ningaloo was a real highlight of what we've agreed was our best holiday ever!

Do yourself a favour and book a trip on Shore Thing as soon as you start planning a visit to Ningaloo - this should be your priority for a visit to Ningaloo and is the best way to experience this incredible reef! What really made this entire trip so special is the fantastic crew who go above and beyond to ensure that you have the best time! Jono was our expert skipper who effortlessly guided Shore Thing to our destinations for the day, found manta rays for us to swim with, tried everything to help struggling fisherman and was also great on the BBQ! Kate was our culinary queen and snorkel guide, whose enthusiasm was contagious and got me back in the water each time, even when reluctant to get wet again! It is mind-boggling how she produced the most amazing meals from such a tiny kitchen! Heather was our wonderful dive guide (and photographer), so at ease and calm in the water and could swim faster than the fish when trying to find us new and exciting creatures to see under the water! My husband and son loved all their dives with her. We were certainly in the best hands with this crew and were sad when we had to disembark after 3 nights!
The accommodation is really comfortable and the boat spacious enough for all guests to find a quite corner and space if wanted.
Mention should also be made of the wonderful ladies in Reservations (Hayley and Cristie) who were always so helpful when making the booking, answering queries and prompt response to all emails!
I would highly recommend Shore Thing and Sail Ningaloo and really hope we can organise a group of friends to visit with us again in the not too distant future! I still dream of those magical sunsets and incredible night skies too!

This could not have been a more perfect experience, and the team that looked after us didn’t put a foot wrong. Shore Thing is a superb boat with beautiful cabins and a lot of space for relaxing; also great fun when the sails are up.
We were taken to wonderful snorkelling spots, each different from the last and fascinating in its own way. Our guides went out of their way to find and show us the amazing diversity of wildlife. And we spent a lot of time in the water so you feel well-exercised and replete with marvellous experiences at the end of each day. A three day trip felt more like a week.
Duke the skipper did us proud, also fixed our heads when the pump broke - gold star to him! - and did a great job guiding us snorkelling. Heather the dive master kept us all well equipped and safe, and Kate our host was a legend: goddess in the kitchen (amazing food, even baked the bread fresh each day), swam like a fish with encyclopaedic knowledge of the reef, and all round great girl.
Cannot recommend Sail Ningaloo highly enough. Thanks to all the team!

If going at the right season ( ie may) can this tour provide whale shark experience?

You will probably see whale sharks from the boat. However if you want to get closer to them i.e. swim with them then you will need to do a separate tour as only limited operators have licences to get up close and personal with both the whale sharks and the humpbacks.
