Damian was extraordinary. He took us to many exceptional spots in Maui and was willing to customize the tour. His knowledge of the area was hugely beneficial. He provided some first aid from my wife, who had a slight fall. Most importantly, he is a a hell of a nice guy who went above and beyond what one would reasonably expect. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.

We are so glad we did this. Keone is the best! He made and changed plans to work around what we wanted to see. He told us tons of history and went on walks with us to answer any questions or to help when needed. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone. We did not have to drive which made it possible for all of us to enjoy our day! The length of the tour was perfect. Thank you Keone for providing a day we will never forget!

The trip with Zak was amazing. We had already done lots of amazing things on the island, yet he was able to bring us to additional beautiful and fun spots. He was super knowledgeable and it was refreshing to let someone else do the driving and entertain us with lots of information about the people, places, and culture of Maui. I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks!

We saw and learned so much while completely settled into vacation mode. Terrence was our awesome guide - he is filled with knowledge, enthuisasm and respect for the island, and is just an all around enjoyable personality. He took us to places we never would've found on our own - it's amazing to hike to a waterfall, but even more amazing when you have it to yourselves! This is the best way to see the island - trust the driving to the locals, know every question that pops into your head will be answered, and be guaranteed to come back with a zillion beautiful photos and even more amazing memories. Mahalo, Terrence!

Zack was the best guide we could have asked for to help us fall in love with Maui. His wealth of knowledge and connection kept us engaged for the entire day as we relaxingly traveled to spots on the island we would not have found on our own. This was a super day!

Wow, this private tour was a great way to start off our first full day on Maui. Our guide, Keola, contacted us the day before our tour to make sure our day was filled with what we wanted to see. Once Keola learned what we wanted to see the day was planned out taking into account the tides and weather to enjoy everything to its fullest. To gain the knowledge of a Maui native like Keola who has a passion for wanting to educate you on the history of the area was amazing. We swam in tidal pools safely by learning the possible dangers, swam in hidden swimming holes with waterfalls, ate some amazing food and had a willing photographer to take pictures of everything. Even contacted us after our trip to give us tips on what else we should do after learning of our interests. Well worth the money and would highly recommend. Keep up the great work!

Demian was an amazing tour guide. He definitely gave us our money’s worth and catered the day to what we wanted to do. He also made amazing suggestions that took us to some sights that are well off the beaten path, where all the tourists are, like the petroglyphs. He made our “delayed” honeymoon a trip that we won’t forget. My wife’s only request was to see sea turtles without having tosnorkelkng for them, he knew right where to find them. I would suggest this tour for anyone who wants to see the island. Thank you Demian for the experience you gave to me and my wife. We appreciate it!

My entire experience with Makana Maui Adventures felt truly magical.
Demian kindly arrived right on time at my hotel for morning pickup and asked a few quick questions to understand what type of tour I preferred. I think he understood right away I wanted to avoid the touristy spots and hoards of tour buses but still experience the island with a sense of adventure. As a solo traveler, I found it difficult to get a tour booked with any other company- they were often looking for couples or families to fulfill their day- which is why I chose to book with Demian. He has a wonderful energy about him that puts you at ease, a great conversationalist, and has a real good sense for how to make your day a memorable one.
He was gracious enough to take me to see sights and do hikes that I had an inkling only locals knew of. I am still digesting all of the things I took in that day. From a coastline hike, to space terrain, a blowhole, the enchanted forest, a triple waterfall, local banana bread (and passion fruit butter!), views upon views both up above and down below, hitting up the plantation with coffee in hand, wandering the town of Paia, capping it with a beautiful beach sunset.
Demian was super knowledgable about the history of towns, landmarks, historical sites, and all of the flora and fauna! You are in good hands with someone who knows how to traverse the single lanes on those cliffs-just sit back and enjoy the sights.
It was such a pleasure, so much so that felt I came out of the day with a genuine friend.
Thank you again for such a fun, educational and unforgettable day! And for letting me borrow a hat to avoid sunburn :)

Spent the day with Zach yesterday and toured West Maui. We’ve visited Maui many times but he found places we have never seen. Great natural sites and out of the way towns with wonderful food and souvenirs. He was knowledgeable about the island’s history and culture and completely flexible about following our lead. Highly recommended!

My husband and I want to see blowhole so bad , is this a good tour for it ? And people said the blowhole May not blow anything depends on weather , what time of the day is best to go?
