This is really a quick way to see a city in two hours you could not cover it on yr own and on this occasion the commentary worked really well it was just a pity the weather was not better but that was no one’s fault

This is not the first time for me to visit Bay area but since this time I just have one day to browsing the city I decided to join the Bus Tour, which is fun experience!
The while cycle cost a bit more than two hours including audio guide with a lot of fun facts (like, there was a king in San Francisco 🌝). For me it is a nice experience to connect a lot of memories together; for a new comer to SF it can be a good starting point to decide which part to spend more time in upcoming days!
Do keep yourself warm when you find your self on top the bus through the golden gate bridge. The driver may go upstairs and confirm are you prepared to be frozen before hand, and he mean it.

Good tour around SF, lots of sights to see, but, instead of a live person narrating, it was a recording, which not always was synchronized with the location or specific attraction or specific local feature being described. Hop off-hop on option was great and staff was helpful and attentive.

Good overview of the city. Tour was enjoyable.
Pros-
Easy to buy online, in person, or with the hotel. We bought at hotel and no issue. Easy checkin.
Commentary was enjoyable.
Drivers were great. We had two drivers though out the day. One was Erika and the other was a gentleman. I wish I knew his name. He was the bus in front of Erica. Both of them were great and very friendly. I liked how he came to the top of the bus to warn us about the upcoming wind on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Cons-
I thought a little pricy for our situation. It was 50ish per person for 2.5 hours. Their pricing was better if you bought a higher package with more inclusions but we only had half a day so the value wasn’t there for us. I think it’s great price if you had more time and not as rushed as we were.
The app was great but I could not get “I’m lost” button to work and I needed it. I could not find this button to be honest.
I think it’s a great tour if you have more time then we did.

It's my first trip to SF. It's such an amazing experience to see around the SF in one day on a big bus. Got a glimpse of everything. And our guide Douglas really knew the history of SF and drove the bus very good through out SF challenging streets..

Erika picked us up at the Big Bus stop at Union Square. It was cold and wet outside, but Erika brought warmth to our day! She was kind and funny, and is an amazing ambassador for the company, as well as the city of San Francisco. She gave us a great recommendation for a fabulous restaurant at Fisherman’s Wharf, and we even got a discount by mentioning that she sent us! Throughout the day, we encountered several other drivers, and all of them were great! Even if you have visited the Bay Area before, I highly recommend taking this tour. It’s fun to get off at the various stops, and see many parts of the city. Keep up the good work Big Bus Tours!

Probably a stupid question as I have never done this before. But are you allowed to hop off at whatever stop, look around for however long you want and then get on the next one and see the rest of the stops? Thank you.

I read something about Chinatown walking tour being part of on/off bus tour, but now I can't find it. Is a Chinatown walking tour part of this package. If so, is there any reading material on it. What is included?

The walking tour is not included in the hop on hop off bus. Also they have recently changed the starting point by Fisherman’s wharf. The moved 2 blocks West be sure of the starting point if that is where you are getting on
