Guide was actually a few minutes late and had issues with segways not being charged and left on from the previous day. Our guide Teddy knew landmarks but not much history details behind it. He did stop at a chocolate store but it was extremely expensive . Segways are fun but this tour didn’t stand on its own. I would not recommend.

The Segway tour was the hit of our weekend. Although we have visited the Biltmore Estate several times, we had never really explored downtown. Marie, our guide was humorous and so informative about the history and vibe of Asheville. And the Segways are so much fun.

This was such a fun experience! Our guide, Marieve, took us through historic neighborhoods and different downtown areas. She shared fun & interesting facts about Asheville's history, and her tour was family-friendly. It was our sons' first Segway experience, and Marieve made sure they were comfortable. Our sons' are 12 & 14, and wanted to go fast! She gave them that opportunity in areas that were safe. She did a great job of balancing the needs of teens and us "older folk". Our only regret is that we didn't do this tour at the beginning of our vacation. Our guide had so many great recommendations for food & sites that we wanted to visit, but we didn't have the time. This excursion is a great introduction to the city and culture of Asheville.

The Segway tour was fun and a different way to see Asheville. Our guide was very personable and patient teaching us how to operate the Segway.

What a fun way to see Asheville! Our guide Teddy was funny, laid back, and knowledgeable. He knew all kinds of little tidbits and took us to some really cool sights. The Segways are easy to use- we quickly figured out how to safely operate the device with our guide’s instructions. If you’re looking for a unique way to check out The Land of the Sky this is the way to go.

We were in a group of 4. All of us over 60. (I say that so even older than 60 can do this and have a blast!)
We all were experienced riders. Marieve was an excellent tour guide. Funny and full of knowledge. Time flew by and we feel we saw more parts of Asheville we otherwise would not have seen.
If you are thinking about this tour…. Just DO IT!

Our tour guide Teddy was superior!! He not only did a very knowledgeable commentary - it was very witty and great delivery. He had a handful to master w/ 2 beginners and 2 intermediates, made the learning curve very quick! He’ll have repeat customers!!

I would Love to try this, but I have just had a total knee replacement about 1 month ago. should I talk to my doctor about riding one of these or is it pretty easy to learn? and how often do you take breaks?
I'm not sure I could Stand for 2 hours straight...lol

You should ask your doctor; I agree with one of the responses in the sense that your surgery is too recent. There are short breaks in the tour but you will always be standing.
