As always I take this tour as it is the best in Boston. They are entertaining and knowledgeable. Today Crafty was so funny and made the trip so fun! I’m excited for day 2 and the Graveyard Tour.

This was the 18-stop tour. Keep in mind this wasn't even summer but we waited at Stop 13 for almost an hour. Trolleys kept coming but they were full or almost full. Drivers would tell us that an empty bus was coming "right behind". No...the next bus had only one seat remaining, the bus after that only had seven but we were lucky enough to catch that one; the line kept getting steadily longer outside. My advice is to not get off the trolley because you may never get back on. The drivers, however, were top notch professionals and knew their stuff and mixed in humor. Other than the aforementioned waiting the experience was good...just didn't like being lied to.

9/27 we got on the first bus at 9 am at Stop 1 at 80 Atlantic Ave. The staff even took our picture in front of the trolley. Capt. Matty is awesome. The fantastic experience started with country music playing while people boarded. Then when Capt. Matty introduced himself his accent was NOT BOSTONIAN! Mobile Alabama!!!! Very knowledgeable and extremely entertaining. We were afraid to hop off because we would get a different driver. Silly!

We thought this would be a nice way to get an overlay of the city. We were most dismayed at the bus noise that drowned out the guide. Many of the sights could not be seen from the bus. Sadly, there were not enough seats so when you disembarked, there was no way to get back on.

Loved the experience of viewing the city from the trolley. We hopped on and off several times, so had a variety of drivers. It was fun to see their different personalities and takes on the city. Our favorite driver we had was Captain Matty.

The day we were there was a bit rainy. Maureen was our tour driver and we loved her and her true Boston spirit! She made the trip so fun! I loved our trip, the architecture, the people and the food! Since we flew into Boston, I do recommend using public transportation and I highly recommend a trolley tour and love that we didn’t have to drive!

The Hop on hop off tour was so much fun!! Our driver was Sue, and she made the experience delightful. Sue had excellent knowledge of Boston, and how she shared it flowed so well. She also added a great deal of humor and was able to answer all our questions.

We took this trolley during our first time visit in Boston and I think this was exceptionally great! Our driver PAPA JIM is filled with knowledge and we learned so much about Boston and its history. It was amazing to hear all about the many "firsts" Boston has delivered to our country. We really enjoyed the tour and we were able to to see the most beautiful sights in Boston, in less than 8 hours . We did Hop - on Hop -off - we had a drink at cheers, walked the Boston Commons, stopped at the market, walked to the stadium. It was worth it. I recommend for first timers, for sure! And maybe you are lucky to have PAPA JIM too, he is amazing!

Townie on the Boston Trolly tour was the best driver I have experienced. He was knowledgeable, authentic, and funny. I have used the Old Town tours in several cities and he stood out above the rest.

Yeah I am not sure either how many they had operating, but I can tell you the day we were there it was not enough. Also true at the end of day, it gets very busy, everyone trying to get home, so you can find yourself waiting for an empty bus for a while. You will eventually get home, but just prepare to wait a while. Wear good and comfortable footwear.
