We rode with Johnny Boston in the summer of 2022. He is a funny and well informed guy that had plenty to say about his surroundings. We happened to be there during Indian Independence Day so there was a lot of traffic and street closures but Johnny made the best of it. He also made some not nice comments about an Indian couple that disembarked at a stop after asking him for directions and they did not tip him. I guess it's his opinion that Indian people don't tip? Johnny you asked us to provide a review. Overall - a good ride but ethnic stuff? Stay in your lane.

This was great...they could use better signage at the stops especially stops 2 and 3 BUT Johnny Boston was awesome, funny and super knowledgeable...dude knows his stuff. There was also a really cool driver from New York but we didn't get to ride with him long.
I would avoid the driver who shooshes everybody though...if I wanted to go to school and be shamed for having a good time I would go to school!
That said this is a great inexpensive way to see a wonderful city!

I have zero complaints. Easy way to get around, see the sights, get some local knowledge, & all the good stuff. They ran on time so we never waited for the next trolley to pick us up. Tour guides were friendly.

Johnny Boston was great! Funny and very knowledgeable. My 17 year old son and I were going to get off at stop 3 for the ironside but were enjoying Johnny Boston so much that we stayed on and did the entire tour.

We took the first tour with Barron and we were the only people on the bus! We felt so happy that we had our own private tour. Barron was a internet of information on Boston and told us things about Boston that we never knew. The hop on hop off was great and every time we hopped on, it was Barron driving. He made us feel at home and was so funny and friendly to everyone who was on the bus! Thank you Barron for making our day in Boston a 10!!!!

Johnny Boston is the best tour guide I've ever had. He makes everyone on the tour feel welcome. He greets every person as they board the bus with a smile. He has a great deal of knowledge on many subjects. We learned a great deal about Boston and many other subjects, while having a good time doing it. Thanks so much for such a great time.

Trolley ride with none other than Johnny Boston. Hopped on at the 2nd stop and never got off.
Johnny was very knowledgeable and funny. We had a blast!
Will go back tomorrow and do again and maybe get off this time.

Our first driver was miserable, he kept making nasty comments “under” his breath. The second driver was knowledgeable but also unfriendly, our third and last driver was great! He was funny and entertaining.

Having never been to Boston, we decided to ride the trolley one full loop to decide where we wanted to stop. That's where we met Johnny Boston, the best tour guide around. Our group of 8 were the only ones on his first trip. He gave us great info in his own humorous manner and we loved it! We started around the loop again and started "hopping off" to see the sights. We ran into Johnny again that day and it was like seeing an old friend. A great way to see the city and learn the history. Hghly recommend!

I just booked a tour with harbor cruise for 4 adults for November 24, 2020. After calling i hear the tours are closed for the season. How can I book if its closed? Is this a SCAM?

No. The “windows” are plastic and there is only a zipper connecting them to the base. If the wind blow or if trolley is moving, cold air comes in. If you sit on the outside, you get more cold air.

We are planning to stay at the Whitney Hotel at 170 Charles Street and have been trying to find out how near we can catch the hop on hop off tour that includes the harbour cruise. Haven’t been able to find a map of the route. Does anyone know whether there is a stop anywhere near our hotel?

I just purchased a groupon for this tour, which we've taken before and enjoyed. This is a stop on a Carnival cruise. Is the redemption area far from where the cruise ships dock? If so, will they allow us to board the trolley to get to the redemption area?

My driver picked up people and took them to stop 1 to redeem their tickets. It’s not too far from where the cruise ship drops off. The first stop is where the sightseeing cruise ships let off, by the aquarium.

We found that we went to a ticket booth who gave us a two day pass for the price of a one day. Not sure if they do this often, but it may pay to ask!
