DO NOT buy if travelling in winter! We used our CityPASS for entry to Franklin Zoo but so many enclosures were closed then when we left we actually could have gained entry free of charge as the gate (giraffe entrance) was open and unstaffed.
We then tried to book a harbour cruise and they were also closed midweek. Waste of money unfortunately.

For a family of four, you save about $100 depending on the excursions you choose. It’s easy to use and very common in Boston so no problem in museums and attractions.
A tip: buy directly on their website without intermediary. The format is more usual for Bostonians and the application is very convenient.

I have been sleeping on this in other cities. My wife's family was coming in from Germany and I wanted to organize the best New England sightseeing trip that I could. CityPass through AAA helped me to do that. I got the 5 day pass which included 2 days of the Hop on Hop Off City View Trolley in Boston, it had so many attractions but I will mention the ones that we were able to take advantage of: Boston Harbor Cruise, Paul Revere House, 360 Observation Deck Boston, Salem Witch Museum, Real Pirates Museum, Salem. Mayflower II Plymouth, Plimoth/Patuxet Museum Plymouth. There literally were 30 other things that you could have taken advantage of. I appreciate the savings and the suggestions of things to do.

Worked great with the app, only problem is that I was here on weekdays and wasn’t able to book the Boston city harbour cruise because it’s limited days in the winter for city pass holders so that seemed a shame really it was one of the ones I wanted to do when I initially bought the pass. Was fine using it for museum of sciences, the view and aquarium. Didn’t feel like there was much choice really with the museums offered and the viewpoint didn’t seem as significant as everything else but we ran out of time

These trolleys, like hop on/off trolleys in every other major tourist city serve a basic simple need: how to see a lot of the city, get the simple history of it all, and be able to explore more at your leisure. It works. I've done it many times, and is usually one of the first things we do when hitting a new city to explore. This Boston Trolley is the same. Goes around the inner city with a narrative. We took the two day bus pass, as it worked out better for getting around, as Boston is notoriously bad for driving and parking. We also did this through the City Pass, as it made sense considering all the other area attractions we were going to see.
The only issue I had was that it doesn't really go to far out, but stays within a small area of the park and harbor area, which to be frank are totally walkable. The USS Constitution was the only distant stop it made.

Very good, but you can only use each attraction once. In our case, we were going to use the Salem Witch Museum and had reserved our ticket, however because of shuttling and time, we never used it that day. So we decided to go the next day. Because we had already 'said' that we were going to go the previous day, it did not allow us to use it again. (we had unlimited 2-day pass) so we had to buy the tickets again seperately from the Go City Pass. Bummer.

USS Constitution fue un buen lugar para conocer un barco antiguo y poderse tomar fotos dentro y fuera de el, ademas el tomar un tour agilizo mas el movimiento entre las zonas mas populares de Boston.
Tambien recomiendo visitar el New England Aquarium para conocer bastantes especies del mar.

couldnt open attachment to show I bought the passes. had to buy individual tix for entry and cancel citypass. now Im fighting for a refund for the citypasses that were not useable!!!

Great saving ! You can do cruise. Aquarium and science museum in one day. Aquarium is small but nice. Don’t forget to the the kinetic Skulptur at the museum !!!

Hi Paula, I am planning to visit with my faily with a 8 year old daughter in next 2 days. I was planning to buy a "City Pass" for us, however, read your review on the city pass, and thinking twcice now, if we should buy it. Please could you let me know if you had not been able to use it at all? And, also if you could suggest some recommendations around Boston please. We will be there for 8 days.

Am I able to book in advance for the historic cruise if I buy the citypass? This is the main reason I am considering buying it and I didn't get to do the historic cruise I would be very disappointed.
