Literally around the corner from our hotel, we decided to visit and we were glad we did. The museum is crafted really well, with themed floors and era's, really completed to a high standard. A worthwhile visit if in NYC.

We visited madam Tussauds using our New York sight seeing pass. There was no booking needed and we walked straight in with no queues. The museum was ok, better for the younger generations as a lot of the models I had to be explained who they were as mainly younger pop stars and social media people! If you are into marvel, this whole area would be great for you, and the horror section I enjoyed but my daughter choose to skip this bit!
We were lucky as it was very quiet and had a nice slow stroll round, a great few hours indoor away from the rain!

Great experience and very lifelike figures. The way they are set up is also very complimentary. Times Square was busy as was the museum, but the museum itself had no lines and you were able to move freely.

Was really good, wax works looked superb.
Only 2 down points we're firstly there was no King Charles. And secondly, was expecting a lot more from the horror theme. Annabelle was fantastic, but that was it really. Other then the 4 female Ghostbusters, not even the men. But there was nothing else.
Other then that though, there is some really excellent pieces of artwork to be found.

I’ve walked past this building hundreds of times but never went in. That changed yesterday! I arrived around 11am and spent about 45 min walking through. You enter at street level, take an elevator to the top, and slowly weave your way down through each themed level and room - NYE party, NYC, Broadway, subway, sports, MCU, King Kong, music, Presidents, etc. There was a doll room (creepy) that I didn’t enter. My favorite room was the Marvel Hall or Heroes. I loved the Hulk and Hulkbuster, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther. I had purchased the 4D movie but somehow walked right past it so I didn’t do that. I also like the room with the Presidents and the famous 9/11 flag raising. I would visit again!

Hi I am visiting New York in August 2019 with my son. I am keen to go to Madame Tussauds on the gold ticket option . Since we are staying in the Roosevelt on Madison Avenue can we make our own way way there and enter the venue in the morning or do we have to wait and go on the actual tour via the departure point/departure time? Please can you advise me accordingly. Thank you.

I can’t answer that question. We went on the spur of the moment, walked from our hotel, and bought our ticket there and had the tour. You might have to go to the website and ask that question, sorry.
