Being a little short on time to explore the Big Apple we opted for New York in a day 6 hr walking tour - and we are so glad we did! Jim was excellent- his depth of knowledge is extraordinary and his manner easy going and friendly. Being a walking tour we saw so much more than on a bus and really got an insight into the city from a local. Looking back I can’t believe we covered as much as we did - lunch option was delicious too !

7 hrs...7 miles walking...outstanding,friendly and VERY knowledgeable tour guide. John Bow was amazing.
His story telling , pictures and pace of the trip were perfect! Loved taking subway and the Staten Island ferry. A wonderful way to see so much of the Big Apple. Thank YOU!

Our tour guide was John Bow. He was so enthusiastic about all the interesting sites he wanted to show us. He had a wealth of knowledge about the people and circumstances of the early history of this city. He was so entertaining and delightful. Worth every penny.

This is a great tour to see the highlights of New York! Our tour guide Rob was AWESOME! He made getting around New York very easy for us. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of New York and had lots of interesting facts and stories to share with us along the way! At the end of the tour Rob helped each group with directions to get to their next destination as well which was greatly appreciated!!

Celebrating our granddaughter’s 13th birthday in NYC for a weekend . The one day walking tour with John B as our guide was a 100% win! John provided just the right amount of history , hitting all the highlight spots you could in 7 hours . There is no better way to see NYC than walking , metro, ferry . John navigated us safe and fun passage along with his enthusiastic knowledge of NYC . Highly recommend.

The best decision we made on our New York trip was booking the Full-Day New York "Must See" Small-Group Tour plus One World Observatory Ticket!
For the morning meet up, look for someone in an orange hat or jacket that says “experience first” in case they don’t have a sign. Give yourself some time too in case you get lost on the way to the meet up spot. Bring a phone battery pack to keep you charging, you’ll be taking tons of photos. Comfy shoes is the way to go and pack a bottle of water too.
Our guide, Jim, truly elevated the tour with his extensive knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for the city. From Times Square to the Staten Island Ferry, Jim provided a wealth of fascinating information, making every moment engaging.
The tour's itinerary covered an impressive array of iconic locations, allowing us to explore the best parts of the city. What set this tour apart was the perfect balance it struck between covering substantial ground and maintaining an intimate, enjoyable atmosphere. Jim's passion for the city shone through as he shared intriguing nuggets of information, ensuring that no part of the tour felt boring or slow.
One highlight was the thoughtful structure of the tour, incorporating well-timed breaks during subway and ferry rides, preventing any sense of walking overload. The small group setting added to the intimacy, creating a more personalized experience. The tour culminated with a poignant visit to Ground Zero and the One World Observatory, offering a breathtaking sunset view that beautifully capped off an already fantastic day.
As for low points, I'm genuinely sorry, but none come to mind. Our experience was flawless from start to finish. Jim's dedication to providing a memorable tour truly made our visit to New York City unforgettable.
We will book another tour from them again in the future! Highly recommended.

Our tour guide zipped us around the city showing us the highlights. We experienced the ferry and the subway. We stopped and enjoyed the views while listening to the history and trivia of the town. Small group was essential for seeing so much of the city. Perfect for first time visitors. Left the tour with more confidence of making my way around the city on my own. Would highly recommend.

Just wondering about buying a metro card, do they not use pay wave from phone or credit/debit card on trains and bus?

You can easily use your credit/debit card to enter/pay for the metro, as long as your card has the touch pay ability. Just hold it against the tourniquet and voila!

Yes, you get 2 pass by looks from the ferry, there and back. We loved this tour though. We used it to note what we would like to come back and do more extensively later if we had time.
As far as the subway fare, do we purchase it during the tour?

Hi! Sorry for my delayed response. Because I already had a metro card prior to my tour I didn’t need to get one. So if you plan on using the metro allot it’s ideal to just purchase the unlimited rides fare and you can use it during you tour. If not the metro also allows use to purchase rides using your debit/credit card tap option which charges your card automatically.

Yes but the tour guide will provide complete instructions on what to do. You will end the tour at One World Observatory but before you go up, she/he will show you exactly where to go when you come back down. The observatory is connected to Occulus which is the new train station so you'll simply walk down the corridor to see the options for getting back.

I'm a little concerned about the 5 miles of walking. I think I can do that but I'm not exactly sure. If need be could I stay in the van for a stop?
