We bought the 3 day New York Pass and found it good value for money. The app is super helpful at putting all the attractions into one place so you can see what you want to do.
We just got our money's worth compared with if we had paid for tours/events individually.
In some places, it was very quick to just turn up and scan the pass to gain entry (such as the Empire State Building). other places, such as the 9/11 memorial, required you to queue with everyone else in order to get tickets.
BE AWARE that the information on each attractions page is not up to date. We found this in multiple places. 1. The Picnic place by Central Park. the New York pass says that they open at 0900, they don't - they open at 1000. We found out the hard way by turning up at 0900 and the window said 1000. We had double checked the New York pass website which still says 0900. 2. The Central Park bike tours page says that reservations are not needed for Bike Tours. That is also not true. They only do tours at 1000 and 1300, which is not listed on the page - the page says to turn up and they will allocate you to the next tour.
This information may be old and it may just be that the app requires updating. But a heads up to not use that app as a bible or gospel as it could get you into some strife!
Have a look at all the individual activities that you want to do over a period of time to see if you could do it cheaper yourself. The hop on hop off bus was also a great idea for us on our first full day, as it gave us our bearings without the need to use our own legs or energy.

I got this pass for a 4 day trip with my 12 year old. The pass was very easy to use and allowed us to try things we may not have otherwise. There was a sale (imagine this is common) and we paid 180 for the child's pass and 240 for the adult pass.
While we definitely saved money off the full price of entry for all the attractions, for me the main value was in having paid upfront and therefore having no surprises on cost. It also allowed us not to be too worried about "getting our money's worth" at each individual attraction if we were tired or in a rush. We were happy with everything we did (attractions listed below). There were no lines for anything (May 2023) except the Yankees and getting into the American Museum of Natural History (was a Saturday). The line for Yankees tickets was very long. If these could be booked in advance through the pass would be amazing. We booked the Catacombs and the Lower East Side Food Tour in advance.
Day 1 - Top of the Rock, MoMA, Madame Tussaud's (an example of an attraction I would not have paid for separately, but my daughter loved and I'll admit it was pretty impressive - was a great way to spend an hour while waiting for a Broadway show)
Day 2 - Circle Line 2.5 hr boat tour around the entire island of Manhattan, The Edge, New York Yankees Tickets (pass says Grandstand, but they gave us good tickets in the 200s, a friend came with us and it was $70 for his ticket next to us)
Day 3 - the Catacombs, Lower East Side Food Tour (this tour went to the Essex Market and with our NY Pass we got free bagels at Davidovitch), Rise NY (another example of something I would not have paid for separately but my daughter adored, and, I'll admit, it was fun since it was included, again, a fun way to spend 45 mins or so while waiting for a Broadway show)

Heb deze pas niet gekocht, mede door de reviews... We zouden zo'n €250 per persoon kwijt zijn voor iets dat veel mogelijkheden heeft, alleen is de pas dan maar 3 dagen geldig. Dan moet je je wel zo enorm de benen uit het lijf lopen en constant in musea zitten om het eruit te halen...
Veel dingen zijn in NY gratis te doen / te bezoeken en als je 1 betaald iets per dag doet, kun je het veel meer verdelen en zie je ook genoeg, tevens kun je dat over bijvoorbeeld 6 dagen spreiden. En het is uiteindelijk dan goedkoper.

This pass is nice, when it actually works. If you would need customer service, they are not to be reached.. so here comes my warning!
From home we booked a lot of attractions. One (the harbor lights cruise) you had to book in person. We did this the first day we came in and booked for day 6 of our holiday (day 5 of our pass) cause we wanted to be sure of a seat. The next day we were planning on starting the actual use of our NY Pass; our first full day in NY. Unfortunately they didn’t tell us, that in contrast to all the other bookings you make, this one would start your passes daycount. So on day five of the pass (and day 6 of the holiday), suddenly our pass was expired.. we had to pay for all the attractions we should have been able to visit with the pass. It definitely ruined the mood.
It doesn’t help to start a chat, they don’t respond to forms. From home there was a problem booking for one of the attractions, they didn’t respond to that either. Luckily the attraction itself did respond and helped us out. So would I recommend this pass? No..
If you do decide to get the pass; When it says first come first served (and you go in April) we didn’t have to worry about lines or full tours, we were everywhere too early or they made space. Also when you reserve a time slot, they don’t really look at your time and do have to wait in line for hours regardless of your booked time. You shouldn’t be extremely late or early, but sometimes we rushed to be on time when absolutely not necessary.
Be aware that with the pass some things you have to wait in line for on the same day to get just a time slot. We found this pretty inconvenient.. and they don’t guarantee anything. So a lot looks nice, but you can’t count on actually getting in. And you’ll loose time when you can get in, but you are waiting with hundreds of other people.
This said. Next time I would have paid for the activities and not bought the NY Pass. It would have given us more freedom to explore. Less frustration about the pass not working. And costs us less money cause now we paid extra for all the activities we did on the day the pass wasn’t working. And some we didn’t do anymore cause we thought it was just a waste of the money since it should have been for free..

Es un FRAUDE, me costo 200 dos por persona por 3 días y solo lo pude utilizar 1 día en 2 atracciones!!! Hay enormes filas de espera, para todo hay que reservar y si no llegas te cobran el costo!!! Y lo cancelan en automático al 3 dia!!! El dichoso Big Bus siempre lleno y hay que esperar más de 1 hora para tomar uno con espacio, no gastes, sale igual pagar por lo que te interese y sin filas, además el ferry es gratuito a la estatua de la libertad

Easy to purchase. Some attractions must be reserved through a separate link ,such as the Empire State Building , did this , worked well after the initial glitch with the link was fixed. Turned up showed our passes QR code at the various booking offices , got our tickets and were admitted quickly with little to no queues. Would recommend this pass ,it’s great value and hassle free.

Ce pass est une arnaque totale à ne surtout pas acheter !!!
Pour 115 attractions annoncées, seules 40 en réalité sont disponibles (comptage effectué ce jour, dimanche 4 mars sur le site).
Il laisse la croisière Best of NYC sur le site alors que cette attraction n'est plus disponible.
Pour le musée du 11/09, vous devez envoyer un mail (?) pour réserver!!!
Pour le One World Observatory, le prix du ticket est inclu dans le pass mais il est impossible de réserver sa visite donc il doit y avoir un monde pas possible pour récupérer ses tickets
687$ pour le pass 3 jours pour 3, autant dire que vous gagnerez largement votre argent et votre temps à reserver directement auprès des attractions.
La pire ARNAQUE de ce pass : l'activation est effective (rendant le pass non remboursable) à partir du moment ou une attraction est réservée (en l'occurrence, les tickets du MOMA pour moi). Je n'ai donc plus que mes yeux pour pleurer.
NE VOUS FAITES PAS AVOIR COMME MOI

We were a group of 5 family members celebrating an early 16th birthday. We had a fantastic 3-day mini vacation in New York City and crammed in as many adventures as humanely possible. We arrived by plane from Columbus Ohio early afternoon on February 2, 2023. We were greeted at baggage claim and directed to a waiting coach arranged by our hotel. We stayed at the New York Lotte Palace Hotel in the Towers on Madison Avenue. We were on the 47th floor with the most fantastic panoramic view of Manhattan. Our suite was incredible as was the service at this hotel. We spent our first evening with dinner at a lovely Michelin rated Italian restaurant, Casa Limone. Dinner was wonderful. The next day was our sightseeing day. We ubered everywhere to save time and allow us to see everything we wanted to in a short period. We took the ferry out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island; walked through Chelsea Market and had lunch there; we visited MoMA which was fabulous and then we shopped at Rockefeller Center and took the elevator to the Top of the Rock for an unbelievable view of the city. On Saturday we visited Macy's on 34th Street, and the Lego store on 5th Avenue. We attended a matinee on Saturday of the musical, Moulin Rouge, which was the highlight of our trip. It is absolutely amazing. We finished the evening with a fun dinner at Serendipity 3. In the midst of all our sightseeing we made time to sample Joe's New York Pizza, Essa Bagel, a New York hotdog and New York cheesecake. We left Sunday for home exhausted but exhilarated. Our New York trip was absolutely wonderful. We made so many wonderful memories and plan to return in the future to make more.

Great value. Easy to use. Lots of varied attractions to choose from. Visited 8 attractions/tours in our 3 days in New York.

Compre dos pases por 5 días, me costaron más de 280 dólares cada uno y fue una decepción total. En cada atracción tuve que hacer fila, a pesar de decir que teníamos la tarjeta (así lo promueven), por ejemplo en el Museo de Historia Natural, el Ferry para la Estatua de la Libertad o el museo de cera, fue más de 1 hora de espera. Esta pérdida de tiempo, nos condicionaba para ir a otras atracciones. Quisimos ir dos veces al Rockefeller Center y no nos dejaron entrar con la tarjeta, mencionando que el tour no esta disponible esos días, pero si entraba la gente que pagaba. Fuimos al Edge y al llegar al mirador lo cerraron por mal tiempo, cuando consultamos si podíamos ingresar otro día, nos informaron que con el pase se podía sólo una vez. Nos suspendieron un tour al puente Brooklyn por mal tiempo y luego no pudimos reservarlo otra vez, por la reserva anterior. Reservamos un tour Gospel y como los sitios son administrados por terceros, la página nos direccionó a otro tour, de lo que nos enteramos cuando nos llegó la reserva, la que no pudimos anular y tuvimos que asistir porque en este caso como muchos otros, debes reservar con la tarjeta de crédito y si no asistes te cobran el valor total de la actividad. Finalmente no recuperamos el dinero invertido en el pase, el que además es extremadamente caro, lo de no hacer filas no es verdad, la respuesta de la empresa ante consultas o reclamos es deficiente. Recomendación: si viajas a Nueva York, evalúa bien la compra, porque finalmente nosotros visitamos lugares sin la New York Pass y fue mucho mejor, no pagamos, no tuvimos que estar condicionados a tiempos de espera, fue mucho más agradable y no tuvimos que andar corriendo para alcanzar a llegar de una atracción a otra por las reservas.

Varies with venue. If you read the details section in the New York Pass app, it may tell you. Some websites (including Empire State) let you use the pass when you make reservations. But ... varies depending on the venue.

Most of these attractions have times you have to pick to go, how do you know at what time you can you use these passes?
Example: when you go to book attraction for empire state from their site, it asks what day and time you like to visit. So how do we know what time we have to go to the attractions with these passes?

Right now you have to book in advance your visit to museums/attractions even without the pass. So the app gives you the option of booking for every attraction ?

I’m looking at getting the pass before we go New York, I’m going with two children age 7 1, wondering is it worth it or is it better to do the it separately. We are looking at doing the madam tausaads etc etc. Is it worth it, if we get the passes can we pre book it. Can u please tell me more about these passes and how it works

Hi, we what to do the catacombs by candle light but you need to book as only 3 time slots per day.... Can you do this whilst in UK or does that activate the card?

Making that booking in the UK does not activate the pass. If it is the first venue on your itinerary, you will activate the pass when you arrive at the site. (You will have to show your pass at each venue, and in some cases still go to the booking office and pick up a ticket.)

I have a few questions.. First time New Yorker here.
Thinking of collecting our passes from the pick up point in NY. Can you also download the app and have it on your phone too? Or is it one or the other?
For the Statue of Liberty do you need to collect tickets in advance from an office or do you go straight to the port?
Last question - I've seen a few comments regarding the queues, especially for 9/11 and the Rockefeller Centre. Again, can you book tickets in advance or do you just turn up and wait?

We did some electronically and some with paper copies.
NY Museum (near Central Park) was electronic and non queues.
Statue of Liberty- you need to go to a fort which is where you will get your tickets on the day. The queues are HUGE to get on the ferry and no seating. Take a drink/food as there’s nothing in the queue. They do X-ray security for this. This was probably the worse queue of all.
Rockefeller - you have to get a slot so it’s worth booking the day before.
Empire State - this was one of the easier ones. I can’t remember if it was here or Rockefeller where we walked up the last few flights of stairs as the queue was very long.
We went in Oct. We did the bus tour in the first day (jet lagged and we wanted to get our bearings). Did both runs on the same day. Did the south stuff in one day but not 911 museum and saved that for the last day. You have to book your slot for this as well.
It was very tiring but worth it. We were delayed on our return flight so had another night in NY - bonus :)

I’ve ordered this over an hour ago, after payment it said it was confirmed and I’d been sent an email with my printable passes. I’ve had nothing.
The email address is correct and I can’t find anyway if contacting this company. Has anyone encountered any problems like this? Just worrying.
