It was a very good tour that showed more of New York than just the standard attractions. In addition, we had e a super Guide, Benjamin, who could tell very well about the background and history of the places we visited in New York

I have done bike tours in NYC before as well as in France, England, and Italy. So here’s my feedback.
Alex our guide was great and very knowledgable. He spoke a bit fast but perhaps that was due to the intense heat! It was a super hot day.
The bikes were only in fair condition-all of our brakes squeaked. Making all our stops a bit loud. The pouch to hold items in the front was very old, and only some bikes had an installed rack for water. The person who was to ‘fit’ us to our bikes really did not. I asked him to help as I had 2 teens with me, he said it’s personal preference, but it reaked of he just didn’t feel like it. Not white glove here by any means.
There was no lunch break, which was fine, but I think people should be well alerted to this in advance. As our tour was 11-3, we thought there would be an organized perhaps brief stop. Our guide was kind and offered, but I didn’t want to suggest something that others might not be amenable to.
The return the bike location cross town offers no sights to see and is an additional 10 minutes on the ride, this could be executed better.

Ride was fun and Alex was a great guide. Downside is that it was very hot and sunny. Plus my bike seemed to have only 4 gears.

Chaos when picking up the bikes, the tour therefore started 1 hour later than agreed, the guide was nice and had a lot to say, the tour did not quite stick to the schedule, it was stated that we would also do the Brooklyn Bridge, but it was skilfully skipped, seemed to be a different tour, had I known that, I would have discussed a different tour..
The tour itself was quite chaotic, also because it was really busy in the city. The group was actually too large (15 people).
Returning bicycles was also just as chaotic. It seemed that people were not fully prepared for the crowds.

Highly recommended. Great guide, knowledgeable and patient. You get to see the city as a local. I'd recommend keeping the bike after the tour is finished and doing a loop of Central Park.

Enjoying New York with a group full of Dutch people. Nice explanation from the guide, you are agile and fast everywhere you go. Plenty of breaks and fun things to see.

Great NY Highlight tour with Bob. The tour was very well organised. The bikes felt like-new and well maintained. We saw and learnt a lot of fun facts. There were 14 in our tour but we never got left behind and Bob always made sure everyone was looked after. Little Island was a nice stop, especially for the toilet. The bike collection/drop off didn't have any restrooms! Luckily, Sweet Green half a block down from the Brooklyn Bridge shop had restrooms, and the Bread and Butter bakery at the Central Park shop too.
One thing it doesn't say on the website is that you don't finish where you start; our start was near Brooklyn Bridge and we finished at Central Park.

There is no Dutch guide available in New York. Moreover, the exact same bike tour is included in the GoCitupass, so it can be done much cheaper. The tour itself was fun to do.

Terrible customer service experience. I was in NYC for prior Sunday, so I decided to book the NY Highlights bike tour.
- The site had 1 spot available in the "NYC Highlights tour (English or Dutch)", which I selected.
- There was a drop down allowing me select English or Dutch, I selected English.
- I received a confirmation email that said "NYC Highlights tour (English or Dutch)" in the title, yet the email confirmation body said "Dutch" and the confirmation ticket said "English-Guide".
- I take the 1 hr train ride and subway ride to their downtown location
- I was informed that there was no actual English tour (nor guide) available that day
- I tried to get a refund, the operator keeps saying it was my mistake for selecting the wrong language even though the WEBSITE STILL OFFERS ENGLISH when they said it didn't actually have an English tour (yet the confirmation ticket screen shot I showed them clearly showed "English-guide").
Don't know which guide you're going to get when you show up, book with them at your own risk!!

Hi Huy - Thank you for the review! There are different options on the activity and your booking had booked for a Dutch Tour.... and your confirmation also said that you had booked for the Dutch option. Unfortunately, normally we run both English and Dutch options and we would have gladly offered to move you to the English one. That day, unfortunately, we only had the Dutch running as no one had booked on the English option. We had you take the Dutch tour and even offered our English Central Park Bike Tour complimentary for you as well, which you took. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
