We're so glad that your group enjoyed our food tour! Philadelphia is an amazing city and we have a fun time showing it off. Our tours can sometimes get extended slightly beyond 2.5 hours if there are group members who prefer a slower pace for walking or eating, and we hope to be able to continue accommodating those needs for our groups. But thank you for this helpful feedback - we will continue to take efforts to try to stick closer to 2.5 hours. We're so sorry to hear that you felt this way. I'm glad to hear that the Guide mentioned the extension upfront, but hopefully this did not negatively impact any plans you had afterwards. Usually we find that guests are happy that we add more to our tour that just eating, with many appreciating the stop at Del Frisco's and Wanamakers. The timing can be affected by many factors including the group's pace and busyness of our restaurants. We do order everything in advance, but the cheesesteak order are customized to each group according to dietary restrictions. We do that to ensure that everyone can enjoy their food, but understand that this may impact the timing. Fortunately, that stop is an opportunity for sitting, which we purposely plan for guests who need to sit halfway through the tour. That's an interesting note about the Guide speaking in first-person plural, but this is pretty common for the restaurant and the tour industries; we represent the places we talk about and like to present it as if we are the conduits for them. Hopefully this did not seem offensive. Most of our Guides conduct their tours closer to the 2.5 hour duration rather than the 3 hour duration, so hopefully you'll give us another chance with another Guide if you return for another one of our food tours. But we appreciate your feedback and will ensure that future guests are aware of timing upfront again.

We sincerely apologize for letting you down. We try to be as cautious as possible and wish the Tour Guide was healthy enough to lead the food tour. We are currently hiring more Guides to join our team to prevent this from happening again and apologize that you were not able to rely on our tour from occurring. We hope you'll consider another food tour during your next visit to Philadelphia.

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that our cancellation caused. Our Tour Guide had a medical emergency that morning and we did not have another Tour Guide available to jump in last-minute. I can assure that full refunds were processed immediately, which should have hit your bank account in 3-5 business days.
