Really interesting and fun and the same time. We just did the self-guided tour with a cocktail at the end and really enjoyed ourselves. All in all took about 1.5 hours.
Would recommend to anyone visiting the area and with a few hours to spare.

Husband and I enjoyed the museum! Learned a lot of interesting information and enjoyed the wonderful wax figures. Speakeasy was beautiful but limited seating. We watched in amazement as the bartender made about 7/8 different drinks at a time. I’m guessing we waited about 10 mins for our drinks.

We had fun reading some of the facts about the Prohibition that we did not realize happened. If you can do the guided tour it is worth the extra money and don't forget to add the drinks for the speakeasy afterwards.

Great museum! Exhibits are nicely done and presented in a very interesting way, there are also great photo opportunities in addition to a lot of really good content. Very engaging way to show this part of American history.

Engaging tour. Lots of fun facts. Many colorful characters in the prohibition movement. See how prohibition contributed to the great depression and the clever ways Americans handled this (mostly) unpopular constitutional amendment. Follow the tour with a visit to the on-site speakeasy.

The American Prohibition Museum was really cool! Lots of artifacts, stories and information about every aspect of the prohibition era. There is a speakeasy within the museum that serves cocktails of this era. The gift shop also has many unique items. Walking the museum, and enjoying a cocktail took us a little over an hour. We really enjoyed it !

We took a self-guided tour & saw many interesting artifacts & photos. Most photos were accompanied by a detailed description or news article. Lots of history here that we never knew. One room was devoted to the flappers, dancing the Charleston and more from the 1920's. The museum also covered the mob era and the beginning of NASCAR.

Not great , very tired looking inside , in and out in 20 mins even if you take your time , I really wouldn’t bother, spend your money elsewhere

What a surprising and jarring review! Your estimation of the museum doesn’t line up with the copious other reviews we have received calling the museum surprising, well thought out, interesting, clean, and fun. Perhaps your visit would have been better had you taken a guided tour where a docent would have explained Prohibition’s cultural and socio-economic impacts on our nation, rather than relying on your own museum saavy to determine what is and is not relevant in the space. Most of our guests spend an hour in the museum even without their allotted cocktail time, so 20 minutes is really just a breeze through of the galleries. Fortunately for you, we offer a 100% money back guarantee. All you have to do is send in a request from your website of purchase. Hopefully Savannah had some other attraction better suited to your style. Thanks for trying!

Great museum. Took about 35 minutes but I was with friends so we didn’t stay as long as I would have liked. There were many facts I didn’t get to read.

I was not sure what to expect when we booked this guided tour and I was pleasantly surprised and how much I learned and how much fun we had. The tour was very informative, never dull as our guide had a good balance of facts and humor. I was highly engaged the entire time! The tour ended with a drink I. The speakeasy tavern! It was delicious! This is a great little activity to for sure check out in Savanah!

You do not have to but it is very easy and can save you much time waiting in line if you have your tickets in advance - we would highly recommend this because you get a discount on your admission!
