There is absolutely no reason to use this service to get to Tybee beach.
We stupidly paid $380.00 for 4 people to ride to the beach from Savannah and have North Beach Rentals set up 4 chairs and two umbrellas. Instead, we could have ordered 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas from North Beach Rentals for $100, taken an Uber ride for $90 round trip and taken our own beach towels borrowed from our hotel for free. Total $190. So this Tybee Beach Bus guy basically charged us an additional $190 for what? I mentioned to him at least two times that I wanted our chairs set up a little farther down the beach where it wasn't as crowed, he totally ignored me and set them up in the most crowded part of the beach at the end of the beach access walkway. He was just in a hurry to get out of there and go off to do something else. I feel like this was such a huge rip off.

Perfect way to get to the beach if you are in Savannah without a car. Picked us up at our hotel, stopped to buy drinks on the way. Provided chairs, umbrella and a cooler- made for a perfect day and a wonderful beach spot.

We were told that we would be contacted the night before to finalize time and meeting place. We still hadn’t heard anything by late afternoon, so I contacted the business number given on the Trip Advisor website. The person told me to check through Viator the trip was canceled. I double checked online and it still said the booking was confirmed. I told him that and he answered, “check provider”. I looked again, and saw I had a message from Trip Advisor, but it was completely blank. I replied and asked when and where we were to meet. No answer. I messaged an hour later (by this time it is after 8 pm). No answer. I contacted the business number again, explaining I had reached out to Trip Advisor, heard nothing, it is still showing as a confirmed trip, and I needed to know so I could plan. He finally said they weren’t running tomorrow and sent me a screenshot of the cancellation.
Since Trip Advisor was still showing it as confirmed, I had to call customer service to confirm it had been canceled, because I didn’t trust the guy who told me it had been. It was still showing as confirmed on their end as well. The woman I spoke with told me that she would start a refund process that would take 24-72 hours, which I’m still in the window of, so hopefully that will go through soon.

Absolutely amazing beach day!! They were flexible as our bachelorette changed number and with the weather. Chris and his team had everything set up for us- chairs, umbrellas, drinks in coolers with fresh ice refills and a speaker. Would 100% recommend- this was a favorite activity on our trip and we couldn’t get over how easy and fun they made our beach day!

The service was fantastic! Really no need to bring anything but your bathing suit. I loved the historical and local facts our driver shared with us on both the drive out and back from the beach. The only thing I would have wanted to improve the experience was one more hour at the beach.
*Note, if you are booking for a Sunday and would like to have alcoholic beverages for your cooler. Plan on getting them on Saturday. Georgia law does not allow you to buy alcohol before noon on Sunday. The beach bar and snack shack do serve beverages though.

Beautiful beach. Every thing you needed was right there, from on site bathrooms and food options. The bus ride over was great. Dave was our bus driver and he was so friendly and informative. Will definitely book again when we are in the Savannah area!

Great way to enjoy a day at the beach while staying in Savannah! From pick up to drop off, everything was just as described…ice,cooler, towels, chair, umbrella-perfect day!!
Be sure to grab a bag of locally grown boiled peanuts at the convenience store. They made a wonderful snack on the beach.

Chris has the perfect business whereby you can enjoy Tybee with no car and no fuss. He picks you up at your hotel, provides a cooler, a towel, a chair and umbrella and stops at a store to make purchases. Then he returns you to your hotel. He solved all my problems about going to the beach while in Savannah. He also ensured that we had the perfect weather!

I booked this tour 8 days before. At 8:30 PM the night before I got a notification that the tour was cancelled. We saw a handful of reviews had this issue but thought it would not happen to us. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you.
Also, Viator did exactly nothing. I thought the benefit of booking with Viator was that they would make it right but they did not. I was offered a sunset cruise in Savannah.

Awesome day at the beach. Communication was on point for pickup and drop off. Stopped at a convenient shop for some cocktails and water. Everything was set up and carried for us. In addition to the great beach day we got some bonus history about the area on the drive. We are so glad we booked this.

We would like to eat lunch at the crab shack on Tybee as well. Is it within realistic walking distance from the beach on this experience ??

The tour drops travelers near the lighthouse at North Tybee, so I would use that as your landmark when trying to figure out where you are relative to other places!
