We took multiple northern light tours between our trips to Fairbanks, and this is by far the best (hands down voted by all members in our group)!!!!!! Nathan is super fun and he kept the whole group entertained the whole night between pizza, hot drinks, lantern, taking beautiful portraits of our group with the aurora!!!! The tent we were in was super warm and comfortable. We had couple other guests on our tour who were also nice and fun to share our evening together. He also kept the van on and warm throughout the evening in case our little kids needed to go back and rest/sleep as it's late for them, but it was so much fun that all of them stayed up the whole time. The northern light was amazing the night we went. Couldn't have asked for a better evening. We would recommend this tour without any hesitation!

Nathan was amazing. This tour is definitely worth it. He makes pizza explains about the northern lights. You are in a warm tent our first night. We unfortunately didn’t see the lights, but he still made it fun and took professional pictures of us, releasing lanterns and other props, he took us out again the next day and arranged it and thankfully, we saw an amazing show. He loves his job. He’s very professional and truly does his best to make sure you see the northern lights don’t hesitate and book this amazing tour.

We had the most amazing northern lights adventure with Nathan! Between Alaska and Norway, I’ve done a few northern lights tours, and this was by far the best experience I’ve had. Nathan has so many little touches - warming hut, hand and toe warmers, hot pizza and drinks, floating lanterns, and best of all, professional portraits in front of the aurora!! He is also great with communicating, super knowledgeable about the lights, fun, and gave lots of great recommendations for things to do in the area/how to take the best pictures possible.
We’ve booked another night with him and the people we were with have been out with him four times! I don’t think there’s a better review than that!!

This was not the first Northern lights tour I have taken but it is the best and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Nathan is a wonderful host, thoughtful in making sure that he got photos of everyone and amicably telling stories and exploding Aurora hunting to us while hosting us with hand and toe warmers, a tent to warm up or the van, personally tested gourmet pizzas and hot beverages, and Chinese lanterns to finish up the night! We were fortunate that the Aurora showed up for us, but we would have had a great time even without it thanks to his backup plan of wool portraits. Of all the tours, he also takes the best photos that show off the Aurora and people in a flattering way. It's a long tour in number of hours but the time just flew by thanks to his warm hospitality.

The best tour! rich pizza and especially the Auroras; that night the lights were simply magnificent. They pass you to your Hotel and likewise take you back, Nathan tries very hard to find the best place to see the Auroras and take the best photos, unlike other tours that charge you per photo, on this tour you can take the ones you want! and they are super professional. The dynamics of flying the Chinese lamps are also very nice to conclude the night. Undoubtedly the best Tours and the best nights of Auroras! I'd do it again.

Nathan knocks himself out to make sure every traveler has the best possible experience! We spent two consecutive nights trying to capture the Aurora Borealis with Nathan’s tour. The second night was an add-on with super-nice guide Tony who also took great care of our group. Nathan packs in so much, from his warming tent, to making us hot pizza, to Chinese lantern release to steel wool portraits. Honestly, when lady Aurora never showed up the first night, we still had a fabulous time! On our do-over tour the next night Nathan’s enthusiasm exploded with the show Aurora gave us. We love this guy! He is also an expert photographer and helped us whenever asked. He also shared his captured images freely, which were fantastic! No hesitation at all in highly recommending Nathan to anyone visiting Fairbanks for the Aurora. He works extremely hard to make his guests happy, has tons of expertise and he is just a good human!

Nathan was great! Very friendly and really wanted us to see the northern lights! He explained about the lights and the predictions and what they meant! We didn’t do a regular tour but he was subbing in and we got a great experience!

My husband and I joined Nathan for his excursion to view the northern lights. We had a fabulous time. He is the ultimate host. An ice shelter with indoor seating and heating was quickly set up for everyone. Really delicious gourmet hot pizza from a professional pizza oven was prepared as well as many different kinds of hot beverages, Nathan was a wealth of knowledge regarding the Aurora. He also shared many stories which were extremely entertaining. Another fun treat was sending Chinese lanterns off over the Alaskan sky. And if this isn’t enough, he is a professional photographer who provided lessons in how to take your own photos of the lights as well as taking photos of all of the guests. Necessary info as we were fortunate enough to view the aurora. Remarkably, he had these photos available to us the following morning. I do not know when that man sleeps! We had a wondrous evening. Thank you Nathan for memories of a lifetime!

This was our first Aurora tour so we have nothing to compare it to, but honestly, we don’t think it would be necessary anyway! We were blown away with this tour! Nathan could not have been more accommodating, professional, and fun! We only traveled about 30miles out of Fairbanks in his van to a very dark spot that had two restrooms. Nathan set up the thermal tent, heaters, (we were toasty warm!) and a pizza oven in no time. He has it down to a science! We lit off a couple Chinese lanterns, which was a first for us and it was beautiful. He explained that they disintegrate in no time. He set up his phone with an app that shows a visual of the horizon and when in Aurora is about to appear. It happened quickly and Nathan had the camera ready. He got some perfect shots and sent us so many great pictures! Then he cooked two pizzas (YUM!) so we ate, drink wine, and told stories. What an interesting and friendly guy he is! We were fortunate to have seen the beautiful lights, but the clincher was knowing if we didn’t he would take us out again at no charge. No one else offered that that I know of, or the pizza either! GO WITH ELECTRIC MOOSE STUDIOS! Tell Nathan we sent you!
