Don’t count on the driver’s guide to teach you anything. Very nice house and park with its wooden houses for stopovers were interesting. On the other hand the guided tour of the house is done in less than 20 min and you will not be able to eat in the park contrary to what is written. We have to get out of the park

Thank you for your feedback. We do not have ownership over Oak Alley, but we will gladly forward your feedback to them. As for the driver, he or she is not obligated to give a tour while they are driving. Their only duty is to transport guests to and from the plantation safely.

It is a very interesting visit but there is very little time you can see the plantation since of the 5 hours of tour are 3 trips and only two on site
The oak alley plantation is very interesting to visit the typical mansion of a sugar farm and know part of the life of the slaves who built it

Thank you for your feedback. The drive to and from the city to the plantation is about 1 1/2 hours. You are allotted 2 hours at plantation, with a 35 minute guided tour and the remaining time for a self guided tour.

Oak Alley was a very educational experience. Our guide Kaylee (sp?) was super informative and brought appropriate humor to a period of history that is dark and often difficult to confront. Oak Alley has done a great job of recentering the narrative on the people that actually built the mansion rather than those who lived and exploited people there. I imagine a lot of people are hesitant to go on a "plantation tour" assuming it simply glorifies the antebellum south. Oak alley is not that. It's better and necessary for a country that desperately needs to confront its past in an honest way.

Gary was very courteous, attentive, friendly and helpful. The drive to Oak Alley was comfortable and Gary pointed out some interesting spots along the trip. He always has the AC on prior to our boarding, a big plus on this hot day. Very interesting visit with many history.

We were picked up at our hotel by a medium sized nice bus at the time they told us. Driver Gary was a hoot. About an hours drive to the plantation. There is a guided tour through the main house that departs about every 15 minutes. I’m handicapped and would have trouble with the stairs to the 2nd floor, but they gad a “media room” where you could sit in a/c comfort and watch a video presentation of the tour being provided upstairs. Staff were all very nice and accommodating. Several outbuildings to view with interesting displays in some of them.

I loved the service that Steven gave us. He wasn’t our tour guide only our bus driver but he gave us a little History of the lovely New Orleans. The tour experience was remarkable. I would definitely book them again on my next trip. See you guys soon

We booked the visit to the Oak Alley plantation with hotel pick-up and return. Everything went perfectly: pick up on time, travel in a comfortable minibus with other participants and the driver who told us a little about New Orleans and its surroundings. Once we arrived at the plantation we were given the entrance ticket to view the main building. The guide was very nice and prepared. We also had some free time to visit the gardens and slave houses and to have something to drink or eat before leaving. The return trip was equally comfortable to our hotel. I recommend this tour company without a shadow of a doubt!

Oak Alley is wonderful and many things to do and see, but with this tour, had only about 2 hours to see everything. We spent time picking up others for tour and changing buses. More than half of the tour group was doing the Swamp tour and we had to drop them off for that. Did not have enough time to walk the entire plantation or do the extra tours on the plantation. Would suggest finding a tour that only does Oak Alley so that enough time can be spent there and you can see everything. Our tour said only Oak Alley, but ending up with people for the Swamp tour too.

Thank you for your feedback. The pickup and drop-off is allotted 30 minutes each in order to go door to door to get all of the guests. Therefore, we will have other drivers helping with pickup in order to get everyone on time.
Our buses do transport both Oak Alley and combo tours. The guests that are doing combo tours do get transferred to another bus, but we can assure you that the short stop is on the way to take guests back to the city. We understand that this takes an extra 5-10 minutes out of your time on the way back to your hotel, but please understand that this is the best that we can do to accommodate everyone.

Oak alley plantation was georgeous! It definitely worths a visit. We had two problems with the tour. We were on time waiting for the bus, but they didn’t explain that we had to stay on the sidewalk (we were at the hotel lobby). They left, and we had to call them back. Inside the bus, the driver spoke all the time, obviously looking for the tip. We would have appreciated some moments of peace and quietness

Thank you for your feedback. The transportation is a 30 minute pickup window for pick-up and drop-off to allow the bus to go door-to-door to get all of the guests. The drivers do not have a place to park their busses nor would they be able to leave their busses, therefore, we ask that all of our guests wait outside or near the entrance where you will be able to spot the shuttle bus arriving. You did book through a third party, so maybe they didn't communicate clearly with you and we do apologize about that.

The tour was great with bus pickup from the hotel. Gary the driver was pretty funny and had great local stories of his and family member's experiences during and immediately after Hurricane Katrina and escaping the city. It would have been good if he had his hands on the steering wheel a bit more and less talking / organising pickups on the radio with one hand and holding the clipboard with the other and reading it whilst driving. But once pickups were done and out on the highway it was great.
Oak Valley was fascinating. Our lady guide at the house was very informative and very "proper" in her speaking. The house is not as big as it looks with the huge verandahs all around. The displays throughout the grounds are fascinating and learnt so much about slavery etc.
There is quite a lot of driving to get there and back but would recommend.

Not sure, but you don't want to-you need to hear the history so you know what you're looking at. Well worth the price of admission.
