die tour war wirklich toll und empfehlenswert! interessante geschichte, wunderschöne landschaft und natur und natürlich das tolle wildlife! unser swamp captain war absolut fantastisch und konnte uns sehr viel über die gegend vermitteln

Amazing

This company dose an amazing job. They pick you up down town from any major hotel. Or even a all day parking area down town. The plantation tour was amazing. However the best was the air boat tour. The captain was amazing and loved to explain the swamp and animals. I highly recommend this tour and company.

Fabulous trip

What an amazing day of sights and adventure. Oak Alley plantation is beautiful and the guide who showed us around the house was very knowledgeable. Tasteful commemoration of the contribution of slaves to the history of the area. The swamps are absolutely stunning and I feel privileged to have seen them as the sun was beginning to set. Also saw several alligators thanks to our keen eyed Captain Trey who was full of information about the area

Bucket list trip

Our Oak Alley and swamp tour were amazing. The bus drivers were courteous and informative getting us to and from each event and our hotel Oak Alley was beautiful and informative. The swamp tour was great, and our captain was the best.

Not worth it

We did the Oak Alley Mansion and swamp tour. Over $100 each. It’s an 8 hr day and 3 1/2 hours if not more is spent on a crowded bus with no shock absorbers. You get about 45 mins to walk grounds and visit slave quarters , which are very nicely re-built and furnished. The mansion tour is about 20 mins where you see about 5 rooms and you’re done. Then it’s more driving to swamp tour. There’s not many gators left because sea salt has gotten into the Bayou, ( no one tells that before you buy). We saw a Heron. I see more wildlife from my back porch, and the “ bayou” was wide open man made canal and sunny. I expected hanging moss and dark shadows. The loud airboat zooming back and forth probably kept animals away from coming out of the woods. Totally not worth the cost. So many actual fun things to do besides this, don’t waste your money,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the tour was not what you expected. We do not have ownership over Oak Alley as we only provide the transportation, but I will gladly forward your feedback. As far as the swamp tour, it is advertised as a swamp tour, not a wildlife or alligator tour. It would be foolish of us to advertise something that we can't guarantee. We do not have any control over the wildlife and nature. You opted for the tour boat, and that boat is operated by outboard motors, so it does have to stay in deeper water. The airboat option will give you more of your expectation of hanging moss and dark shadows as it can go through smaller canals and shallow areas.

Swamp is Awesome, Plantation tour lacks

I would give the swamp tour 5 stars and the plantation 3 stars. The Plantation tour provided a tiny view of the life of the slaves. This needs to be rethought and restructured to not only memorialize the people enslaved, but to own America's history correctly. The guide in the house was nice and knowledgable about the family who lived there. Food in the cafe was C- and it's very weird to have Christmas ornaments with a picture of the plantation

The swamp tour was great. The bus drivers were friendly and entertaining. So fun to ride in the airboats. Our guide grew up there and had fun and informative bits about the area and the animals. We were able to see several gators. Everything was very safe. The swamp is picturesque. Highly recommend.

Wasted day on a bus

I would not recommend this tour for a few different reasons. The most important reason is that most of the day was spent on a bus getting to our destinations. Not just on a bus but FOUR different busses being transfered to different busses literally on the side of the road (or even in the road). The Mansion was nice but most of it was walking around by ourselves. Not sure what we payed for other than entrance tickets which we could have gotten by ourselves. The swamp boat was nice and our guide was informative but not very long of a ride. Overall, you pay A LOT of money to sit on the bus most of the day: without food or drinks BTW so bring your own water. Definitely would not recommend.

Thank you for the feedback. We understand that it's a long day when you choose to do a combo and the reason is for the distance to each destination. The Oak Alley Plantation is about 1 1/2 hour from the city and the swamp tour is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Oak Alley. Then the drive back to the city from the swamp is another 30-40 minutes. We don't provide food or drinks but both locations have food and drinks for purchase.

Full-day 40% adventure 60% commute

It was a great adventure, you get picked up from your hotel, get driven out of New Orleans to the plantation where you get a guided tour of the area and get inside the mansion (can’t take picture inside it). Then you get driven back to New Orleans and out again to the swamps. The swamps are amazing for the fauna and flora. After that, you get back to the city again, hopefully not stuck in traffic jams for too long. The tour guides and drivers were kind and friendly.
