This was an incredible experience. My wife and I used True Adventure for a rappelling adventure for our 28th anniversary. Neither of us had rappelled before and we are weary of heights. We explained our fears to the guides and they could not have been better.
First, safety is the main focus of the whole TAS team. All items were checked and double checked. I also liked that all procedures were explained to us so we completely understood the protocols. I learned a lot about how TAS doesn't cut any corners!
I went first and was openly nervous as this is a straight down 85' cliff face. The woman that helped hook me in and explained everything (I did not get her name) was so helpful and respectful of my fear. As I started over the edge, she used a very calming voice to talk to me about things unrelated to the event which helped me. Once over the edge, it was an exhilarating event. We got to each do two drops and would certainly do it again.
I HIGHLY recommend TAS. Even the recommendation of a local BBQ joint was awesome. We will go back to TAS and hopefully take the family next time!

Fun family day rappelling. As newbies, this was the perfect introduction to falling on purpose. The guides were very friendly and we could have spent all day just chatting the day away. Knowledgeable, patient and informative, the perfect combination to lead us on this adventure. We look forward to returning in the future for more adventures.

While I completely understand cancellation policy’s, I came down with the flu and notified them 48 hours in advance that I needed to cancel. I lost 100% of the cost, not even a consideration for partial credit. That is very disappointing.

I looked up your account, You did not notify us 48 hours prior, you may have contacted Tripadvisor. But you paid Trip Advisor and you have to request a refund from Trip Advisor not us. You have left us a negative review for something we did not have control over.

Just outstanding! Safety is top priority so very professional, but also genuinely caring people who take the time to ensure you enjoy the experience. They even remembered us from two years ago! Can recommend any adventure offered as well as lovely accommodations.

The Payne's spent the afternoon in Fort Payne rappelling with True Adventure Sports! GREAT time!
3 guides for 6 guests. That's a high ratio and that's a good thing! Safety was clearly adhered to. Perhaps more so than we've often seen when doing various activities such as this. Another plus to TAS!
Beautiful drive from their office to the rappelling location along the Little River Canyon Parkway. You will leave from this location when the tour is finished and do not return to their office.
Make a day of it! Bring a lunch and have a picnic afterwards at one of the many picnic spots along the Parkway. We stayed for a few hours after the rappelling and hiked Powell Trail, Eberhart Trail, Little Rivers Falls and Martha's Falls. Made for a great full day of activity!
I rarely give a full 5* rating, but this was well deserved!

A Must Do! This was better than a roller coaster! The adrenaline rush was awesome! The views beautiful! The quick hike back was great too. Guides are very personal and knowledgeable. I would go again if I was going to be here long enough!

My group (4 adults and 14 kids) visited TAS for 4 days this summer. We had an unbelievable time. This is a family owned and operated business and what an amazing job they do! The owner was knowledgeable, patient, and fun. The guides (including the 12 year old daughter, were equally as wonderful and knowledgeable). We stayed on property and it was ideal for our group. The activities far exceeded my expectations. We cannot wait to return next summer!! If I had to pick a con, it would be difficult, however I would say that the grills are very old and dirty, so we did change our plans for feeding the crew. Next year, I think we will be better prepared food wise. Loved it and those running it, thank you for the memories!
