Best tour in Salem bare none. Captain and crew is awesome and friendly. Experience dealing with some history of the coast. You get to host the sails transporting you back in time and even sail this 42 foot beautiful scooner. Boat is magnificent.

Awesome experience, very accommodating and great customer service. One of the best things we did on our salem trip snacks and drinks on the boat were the best price the whole time we were in salem couldn't have asked for better

This was so much fun! Mike was knowledgeable and gave great info. The rest of the crew was fun too. It was beautiful out on the water. A lovely way to end our visit to Salem.

Absolutely fantastic! The captain and crew were top notch, very personable and friendly and made the trip fun. We had kids ranging from 8-11 y/o in our group and they loved the interactive part of the tour where they got to help with raising the sails and loading the cannon. It was really enjoyable to be out on the water and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views and relax away from the crowds on the street while learning a little history too. The size of this boat was "just right" for us, not too large or crowded, but not too small either. I would be more cautious with younger kids because guests are seated around the perimeter of the ship with just rope for a railing which would require you to stay vigilant with small children. Bathroom on board was a plus! Highly recommended!

My husband and I went out on the Fame with Captain Mike, Molly and Liam on a Friday at 1 PM in October. It was the perfect weather with a really good breeze for sailing and bright sunny skies and a bit little chilly. We had such a good time and the crew was amazing. Enjoyed the history information and a highlight of the trip was Capt. Mike loading and shooting off a mini canon mounted on the schooner. Too fun!

By far the best thing to do in Salem. We took the sunset cruise, and caught views of. The iconic full moon rising across the ocean, absolutely breathtaking. We even shot cannons at another historic vessel (blanks, of course.) ok for kids but ideal as a romantic time for couples.

A must do! The captain told us interesting history of the boat and the land. It was a really cold they did provide blankets. I recommend dressing way warmer than you think you need to. Hoodies and pants for sure. The crew was nice and attentive. My friend got to help raise the sails! We did the sunset tour and it was really nice, cloudy day so the sunset wasn’t spectacular but the whole experience was so great.

Sounds like the captain and crew did all they could to make your trip enjoyable. But we have no control over the weather, and it is not always perfect! I feel this is one of the very important things people can learn about life in Salem in the 17th and 18th centuries — this town made its living from the sea, and they were at the mercy of the wind, the tide, and the weather. You had an authentic experience out there yesterday :)

Such a fun experience! The crew was so friendly. My husband helped raise the sails and I got to steer the ship. The captain was informative and the views were lovely. Every member of the crew eventually made it over to speak and check in with us. Would definitely do it again.
