The views were incredible...The tour guide made the trip so worth it. He did a really good job and kept us interested and entertained the entire day....One of the most enjoyable trips I've ever taken.

Wow, Tim, our tour guide was fantastic! The information he gave and the knowledge of the Canyon that is I his brain was fantastic. Best tour we’ve been on in a long time. Well worth every penny.

This tour was absolutely amazing and 100% worth every penny! Leo and Emmi were wonderful guides. Even our lunch was fabulous. Leo is an incredible vault of knowledge. They were both very proud to work for Canyon Dave. I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Canyon for the first time.

Simply Awesome! It is a small group tour!
From their motto to their exquisite customer care, knowledgeable staff (Leo), pick up to drop off, handouts, choice of stops, it was fantastic!
Dave (owner) has written a few books and used to teach I believe geology at the University and is very picky about his guides. You will learn a lot and if you have teenagers/kids they would enjoy a lot as well!
I told them that they should mention that this is a small group tour! Because we were only three people with the guide for the whole day.
They will accomodate you and do the tour even if you are the only person booked.
Shout out to Dave for starting this company and Leo (whose enthusiasm shines through…!)

Keaton was a wonderful guide. We reached Flagstaff from our hotel in Sedona after a pretty harrowing, snowy ride north on 1-17 wondering how we could have any kind of outing. Keaton reassured us and said we would have an excellent day and he had an alternate--lower altitude--option. The things we did were very cool, we went to the East Rim, pueblo sites, Little Grand Canyon, Cameron for lunch. So much fun, a full day after we thought our trip might be impossible. Thank you!!

We had a great day touring the Grand Canyon with Dave's Canyon Tours. Our tour guide, Keaton, picked us up at our hotel in Flagstaff at 7:45 a. m. and we spent the whole day touring Grand Canyon National Park. Keaton was very knowledgeable and great your guide. He delivered us back to our hotel around 5:00 p.m. it was a great day and highly recommend this company.

We had never been to the Grand Canyon before. We were looking for a small tour that would take us to the highlights and provide us information that we wouldn't have on our own. We thought about a helicopter tour but then came across Dave's Canyon Tours and decided to give it a try, given all the positive reviews. We're glad we did - this tour exceeded all our expectations! Having Keaton as a guide with his knowledge and experience was priceless. We saw many folks who weren't part of our tour listening to Keaton at the various stopping points. We loved the small group experience. And being picked up and dropped off at our hotel was really convenient. I'd recommend this tour to anyone!

Daves Canyon Tours was an excellent tour. Keaton was exceptional. His knowledge, ability to teach and expert way he answered all questions was outstanding. This was the best tour we have been on! If you want a guided tour of the Grand Canyon, Keaton is your man!

How long is the walking portion? My mom is 80, uses a cane and can't walk far or on rough terrain.

There's relatively little walking. I would think the getting on and off the van might be a dealt breaker. At 71, with 2 arthritic knees, I was pretty slow, and my knees hurt at the end of the day. However, I was not the oldest on our tour. I think the longest walk was to our luncheon restaurant.

Can you please explain what exactly is "hike part of the rim trail"? Is this an easy hike? Is there any part of the tour that will be difficult for a person who has back issues or walking / standing for a long period of time? I'm trying to figure out if this is doable for my parents. Thanks in advance.

There was no extended hiking. Mostly we stopped at overlook points and could walk as far as we needed for awe and photographs. At 71, I did not find it stressful at all, except my knees hurt from getting on and off the van often. Don't judge too much from tgat; my knees ache from sitting in a recliner!
If I am staying at a hotel in Mesa and driving up for the day can I still get picked up at one of the hotel locations that they pick up at? And who would I contact if I have any further questions?

Our tour was over right around 3 p.m. I can't answer for them, but I think you'd have to make your own arrangements to get to the airport in Phoenix, which is a couple of hours away.
