The driver frequently makes the tour. That was the case for the 4 of us. He was from Newport, born and raised. A wealth of knowledge and a great sense of humor. The tour was everything we expected and more.

Great tour. Very interesting and Trolly Bob our driver was very informative and extremely funny. He definitely commented the tour. Very glad we had him.

I booked this tour for my wife. She loves the Gilded Age and mansions. After experiencing the tour, I think I may have enjoyed it even more than she did—which is saying something! I would 100% do this tour again.

Great tour...loved Trolley Rob and his terrible jokes. Really glad we took the tour! Commentary was interesting and enjoyed looking round the Breakers.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide Troy was excellent. He is not only informative but also entertaining. It was a perfect activity on a rainy day. We saw a lot from the trolley, then toured the mansion.
BTW, you meet the trolley at the platform, and he checks you in and gives you your ticket for the house. There is no need to go in the transportation center except to wait if you're early. The lady in there was nice and helpful explaining all that to us.
The parking garage was great since it was raining. Cost to park for the time we spent about $20.

Very informative and well organized Handicap assistance was amazing but at the exit was a challenge for me on the ramp I kept feeling that I would fall. My family was exiting from lower level.

The tour guide was awesome! Very funny! The self guided tour with head phones was about the right length for us. We didn't want to spent the whole day as we also did the Cliff Walk which complimented well with the Breakers Tour.

Driver (let’s call him George) narration was entertaining and informative. The tour had a good amount of road time and allowed ample time for the walking tour of the Breakers. My only disappointment occurred when disembarking. Our driver collected tips but tossed the cash on the dash. He was engaged in conversation when I passed him tip money. His hand was out, he didn’t make eye contact or acknowledge my gesture and kept talking to another guest.

Dear Tina, this is Carlos (George), your driver/guide. I want to thank you for sharing your positive experience on the tour while expressing your resentment about your tipping experience. I want to offer you my sincere apologies for not being able to do eye contact with each client getting off the trolley because one client was asking me questions at the same time. The driver did his best to accommodate us while dealing with a difficult situation with a group of seniors. We had tickets for a later tour and it didn’t work out for us to go earlier. He suggested a great breakfast location and kept his cool with the seniors. Kudos! Sorry it didn’t work out for us but thankful you tried.

Does the 3 hours include the Breakers tour. We have a 11:30 tour and need to be on the cruise ship by 5. Any problems?

Do you know if the 1:00 pm tour will get you back to the cruise ship in time if it’s scheduled to leave at 5.

Tour is 3 hours and they keep to the time exactly so should give you time to rush back to the cruise ship. Just make sure you dont plan another tour or visits after this one. Traffic in the city is light but keep 1 hour to be safe for travel time.
