Fabulous day - thanks to our guide Leo and all the team. We saw humpbacks and false orcas on the way and a puma in Corcovado. Lunch was superb and the whole trip was really excellent.

The tour guides were very nice, however, the main concern with this tour is that the tour operators do not provide enough information about how to prepare. It ended be a very rainy the day I went on the tour, though the tour guide said "there might be some rain," before we headed to the speedboat. The boat ride was VERY uncomfortable because of the rain, as was the hike, because the trails were very muddy. The description on the site makes no mention of the possibility of these suboptimal conditions, AND do not suggest rain gear or a change of clothes. Everyone was soaked throughout the tour. The company should at least do a check on the forecast to notify people of weather conditions so that people have the option of canceling and requesting a refund (very expensive tour!), if they don't want to hike in the pouring rain and mud. The description lists "moderate difficulty," however, hiking in the heavy rain and through mud is very difficult and the reason I fell (first time in 6 months of hikes around the worl. The company could do a better job warning the participants of the risks involved, but it seems like their main concern is to make as much money as possible, by booking as many tourists as possible, rather than prioritizing the quality of experience. There were 30 people on the tour and two of the groups were on the same trail which then made it nearly impossible to spot wildlife because there were too many people making noise.

Thank you very much for your comment, but it is important to emphasize that Costa Rica is a tropical country and also Corcovado is made up of tropical forests, mountains, wetlands, and virgin beaches. Its climate is humid tropical, which contributes to being a natural place. Among the recommendations for visiting these places are hiking shoes, a layer in all seasons in a tropical country, and normally this activity is recommended for clients who enjoy living an experience in nature.

Beautiful trip. Boat tour is exciting. We saw a mother and baby whale. Lucky. 1.5hrs speed boat trip. Very educational tour. Lots of knowledge with tour guide. Extremely respectful for nature. Lots of animals (even puma’s) but also attention flora! Federico was our guide. He is passionate about nature. Very nice man. We were with a family of five.

Good choice of activity to get to know a part of Corcovado in a single day from Uvita, great if your vacation days are numbered and you don't have time to get to Corcovado by car.
Edward was our guide and he was delighted, you can tell that he is passionate about his work and that he is constantly training in the subject, whenever we asked him something he had a good and interesting answer to give us. Furthermore, the personal treatment was very friendly and made us enjoy a great time.
The organization of the Dolphin Tours company was very good and the food they offered us was delicious.
Thank you for everything, I would definitely repeat.

I booked this 3 days in a row and all 3 were declined due to not enough participants,I think. Today was my birthday and I really wanted this trip. They should take this down if there is no enough people. Meanwhile, my card has 3 pending payments which lowers my spending.

Wonderful day with great animal sightings and beautiful scenery! Leo was great as a guide and the pace of the day was good with walking, delicious lunch, chance to swim in the swimming hole, etc. Highly recommend the company and the tour!

Great tour! Nice lunch, and saw many animals and wildlife. Loved it!! Highly recommend. Tour was on time and guide was friendly and explained a lot about the animals.

We realy liked the tour to Corcovado. Our guide Ramon was excellent - he came with a lot of info about wildlife in Cosra Rica. We were lucky and watched also whales on the journey.

Leo was an amazing guide and it was an outstanding day. We say anteaters, pumas, crocodiles among others. Leo was a great teacher regarding all the amazing insects, trees, birds and mammals. This was certainly the best part of our trip to Costa Rica.

What is the boat ride from Uvita like? We’ll have kids with us and a little nervous about speeding through swells for an hour and a half. Or is it a more casual boat ride?
