This was a great tour with our great guide! He really went out of his way to share his lifestyle with us along with explaining how the area looked Pre- earthquake. It’s a shame the devastation to the area has taken so long to rebuild and they are still not there yet after the 2011 earthquake.
Beautiful shoreline and views. I highly recommend this tour. Jospeh our tour guide was absolutely wonderful.
Btw leave the port and take the free shuttle to the pickup point on shore for your small bus excursion.

My wife and I will be sailing on The Viking Orion, and are scheduled to arrive at port in Christchurch on Wednesday February 12, 2020 at 08:00AM with ship’s departure scheduled at 6:00PM (18:00). We are members of TripAdvisor and CruiseCritic (where we actively communicate with other passengers on our ship via Roll Call). We are curious if we would be able to schedule this trip with the time we have in port? If so, perhaps we could arrange for other Orion passengers to join us on this excursion.
