We booked ourselves a Cass Valley four wheel drive experience which we thoroughly enjoyed.
It was wonderful seeing a mob of thar which was a first for us, a lone bull awhile later, a glacier at the end of the valley and last but not least a couple of NZ’s native falcon, one of which fed right in front of of us having just caught a meal.
Our guide and driver Paul was very informative and a great story teller, even made a great coffee to go with our afternoon complimentary chocolate.
If you want to see big country and all of the above, highly recommended!

A perfect way to see Lake Tekapo and surroundings from a different perspective. We were taken on a drive throught the merino sheep farms, river valley, we got to see beautiful views of entire Lake Tekapo. We also learned about the birds, the inhabitants of the valley. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

We enjoyed our guide - extremely personable - HOWEVER don’t plan on the advised Land Rovers. We were told both were in the shop and we were uncomfortably put in the back of a Toyota-not a pleasurable ride. Didn’t want to hold it against our guide, but sent a message to the operator who basically reply “sorry, too bad”. Also - it was advertised with “Glacier” - not one - again operator said “clouds”.

We do have 2 land rover defenders, and unfortunately land rovers are known to break down at times, and in this instance they were both in the mechanics . You traveled in just as an incredible 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser, which we take pride in offering great 4wd vehicles and experiences. Weather also happens, and glaciers get clouded over. We operate in mountainous country and weather is inevitable

We absolutely loved this trip and the best part was our guide! Chris was outstanding!!!!! A must! Amazing scenery and we learned so much!

This adventure was fantastic! Well worth the fee. Incredible scenery, interesting info about the country and birds, access to areas you'd never see on your own. Owner Ben was informative and skilled, obviously experienced and well informed. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning!

We did a private tour which included Lake Alexandrina, a variety of stations, the Cass valley and river and plenty more.
It had snowed overnight so we delayed our departure in order to let the weather clear.
We were treated to the most amazing winter wonderland type landscapes, with snow at ground level throughout. We were plenty warm enough though, and stopped a couple of times to throw snowballs and have a drink and some chocolate. We saw pheasants, a black swan, merino sheep, angus cattle, deer and lots of rabbits.
Chris had great local knowledge and clearly loves showing off the area. Would recommend to anyone and would like to redo at a different time of the year too, to get a different perspective on the landscape.

We did Cass Valley tour and it took 4 hours. The tour was meant to be 3 hours but the driver/guide was kind enough to show us more. This is one of the must tour to be taken when in Tekapo.

We had a great afternoon with our guide who provided a wide range of information about the area, the property we were on, the history of the area and general information about the region. Some of the views were amazing. There were also some funny moments with anecdotes that made us all laugh. I would recommend this to anyone to see the real country and have a great experience.

Our 4WD experience with Christina as our driver was superb and exceeded our expectations. It wasn't at all touristy - in fact it was a unique and special experience. We went though private estates deep into the mountains and river. The views were outstanding. We saw a lot of merino sheep. Our guide explained everything very clearly. She was superb. I highly recommend this tour and a must do with this company.
