Great for all ages as the guides can assist. Best activity we did on our trip! The company provides wetsuits, helmets etc just need a towel to get yourself dry after the rafting.

This is a seriously slick operation! Our whole family ranging in age from 10 to 70 went rafting on Saturday and LOVED every moment. Gorgeous scenery, heaps of fun rapids, professional fun guides and awesome touches with the hot chocolate and choccy fish on the river and the beer and hot dog to finish. We couldn’t recommend Rafting New Zealand highly enough! We’ll be back and will tell everyone we know to come too. Thanks so much guys for making this a memorable celebration

Four family rafts with a bunch of teenage cousins had the absolutely best time - spectacular scenery, great weather, awesome experience - real value for money and awesome guides - we would highly recommend anyone that doesn't mind a bit of very cold water to go do this with a bunch of family or friends - we were buzzing - thanks heaps Rafting NZ - you guys are awesome!

After doing Tongariro we were looking for something fun to do the next day before we head back home, and we were definitely not disappointed! The rapids were exciting and the scenery was amazing and it required just the right amount of work to loosen our stiff bodies. Thanks to all at Rafting New Zealand for making it one of the most fun days we've had in a long time! A special thanks to our guide Wetti(apologies if I am not spelling that correctly) who entertained us with his stories and jokes and took care of us on our adventure and made sure to make the trip a memorable one!

First time doing white water rafting and we enjoyed the grade 3 rapids as a family. Our guide (Jess/Jessie) was awesome. The hot chocolate and sausages were also a bonus.

Had a wonderful time lead by Jess. Our all girl crew conquered the rapids, and a few of us cliff jumped. The scenery was spectacular and what Jess doesnt know isnt worth worrying about. A great day out on a pristine river.

Kitted out with wet suit, helmet, etc. Safety talk then off to the river. Our guide was brilliant, but he tells really bad "Dad Jokes". I don't know if he invented the names of the rapids, but..... Next rapid is the ejector seat! The front of the raft nearly threw 2 out! All in all fantastic fun, beer and hotdogs to warm up after hot shower also helped.

Great trip on Tongariro River at the end of winter. Very surprised about how warm we were - they have great warm weather gear 😀 52 rapids and and two guides - Jess and Owen - who knew the river inside out. A great experience any time of the year 😀

We drove to the location and it was really easy to find from the address on their website.
You will be fine as a solo traveller, they are so welcoming and really make the group gel well together even though there may be language barriers.
We had a great time.
