We really enjoyed our full day tour with Gianni. He picked us up in Palermo, took us to Erice, Trapani, and to the winery. Gianni was very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions we came up with. It was really nice to have him at our disposal all day and that we were able to personalize the tour as we went along. The winery was definitely a highlight for me! Owners Vincenzo and Lilliana greeted us and we had an amazing traditional Sicilian lunch prepared by Liliana. I would highly recommend this tour when you are in Sicily!

I had originally booked this for March 17, 2020. But, as you can guess, COVID ruined my plans. Prior to the worldwide shut down, I was speaking with Gianni, and he had told me that March 17 was the day that Italy celebrated its unification. Along with the wine tour, he was going to show me around some of the historical areas where Italy's fight for unification began.
As soon as I was able to travel to Italy, I quickly rebooked this trip. Gianni remembered our prior conversation and included these historical areas in my tour.
Gianni is a wonderful person, and he is very knowledgeable in not only the wine production, but also the Italy's rich history.
I was on this tour by myself and at no time did it feel awkward or was there a lull in conversation. By the end of the day, I had felt I had made a new friend.
The sites were beautiful, the wine and food were delicious, and the company was exceptional.
I hope to make it back to Italy at some point, and I would love to see what other tours Gianni has to offer.

We spent 10 hours with Gianni and loved every minute! He contacted us ahead of time to customize our tour. He took us to Erice, walked us around the city, pointed out all the interesting sites and let us try a Genovesi pastry. Then we headed to Alcamo, with a scenic stop along the coast, for our wine tour. The meal was amazing and we tasted 5 different kinds of wine. The owner had to go and harvest the grapes since it was almost October, so Gianni walked us around the winery and explained all the old machines. We then went to a processing site and were allowed to taste some wines in different stages of fermentation. On the way home we saw the Segusta Temple and some Mussolini relics. Gianni is SO knowledgable about the history of Sicily and we learned as much as we could - including some mafia stories. The day we spent with him would rate 5 stars, but he went above and beyond. He gave us wonderful suggestions about how to spend the remaining time in Trapani. He was even "on call" for us when I sent a last minute text about the best bakery to get something sweet. All of his suggestions were fantastic. It was like a had a personal tour guide for our time in Trapani.

Gianni spent the entire day with us, driving us to various sites in western Sicily. He spent the time showing us the fishing village of Bonagia, the caves of Polifemo, and the nearby town site. He was very knowledgeable and very thorough. Since this area was the home of my grandparents it was very special to have such a close up and personal tour of the area. In the afternoon we went to the Florio winery where we toured the grounds and were shown the old winemaking facilities as well as the area around Alcamo. The Adamo family, who now operate the winemaking business there, provided a fabulous lunch on the premises prepared by the owner's wife and family. Gianni and the Adamo family shared the lunch and some of their wine with us, the whole experience giving us a feeling of family and friendship. We could not have enjoyed a more perfect day!

All thanks to Gianni and Easy Trapani, we had wonderful time during our 10 days holidays in Sicily, we got a car during the stay and enjoyed perfectly each place we were in, also we loved everything about visiting ADAMO VINEYARD, we get so lucky and were there during fiesta del vino, traditional Sicilian food was perfect and Adamo wine fit to it great, we get a special tour, met very hearty and welcoming Vincenzo, all this was accompanied by Sicilian traditional live music. Sicily is always a good idea, but hundreds times more with Easy Trapani :)

En opplevelse vi ikke vil være foruten. Guiden Gianni var unik, informativ og interessant. Vi fikk sett mange vinområder og forklart mye om vinplanter, druer og forskjellige arter. Avsluttet turen på vingården Adamo, med vinsmaking og ble servert italienske spesialiteter. Anbefales på det varmeste hvis du ønsker en berikende opplevelse.

We enjoyed the food, the wines, the beautiful surroundings and all the nice people that made our cooking class + wine tour an experience to remember. Thanks to Liliana for the cooking lessons, to Vicenzo for introducing us to the Adamo winery, wineyards and lovely scenery. Gianni organized everything, shared his historical insight on western Sicily - and kept on opening new wines😁. Thank you, Gianni!

I am so grateful to have found Gianni / Easy Trapani as our guide for an EXTRAORDINARY day touring around the country side tasting wine and meeting locals connected with the abundant agriculture of Sicily. We had a fantastic time, and I will not soon forget our experience with Gianni.... highly recommend...

Bellissima visita alla riserva dello Zingaro e a Scopello in compagnia di Diana e il suo compagno, con soste per il bagno nelle stupende cale con maschere e pinne. Si può dire che non mancava proprio nulla, competenza, gentilezza e anche merenda e rinfresco con prodotti tipici.

To figure out the day in specific for the wine experience please read the info below:
the tour will be private for you, only
we will come to pick you up by car so we will be together for the all day. we meet at your favorite time and expect to be together for 4 / 5 hours for half day or 8 / 10 hours for a full day
concerning the wine tour experience, we will visit in deep understanding an historical winery from 1875 once belonging to the legendary Florio family, the richest family in Sicily during the Belle Epoque. we will also visit the vineyards in the deep countryside of Alcamo and at least another modern winery in the same area of Alcamo. if there is extra time, we can also see a third winery.
Western Sicily can be in fact considered the most important area for wine in all Italy. It is the area that produces more wine comparing to all the other areas of Italy. Imagine that the production of wine in western sicily is even higher than all the region of Tuscany, the region of Chianti and where Florence city is, a region slightly slower of Sicily. With Bordeaux in France, it seems they are the areas in all the world where there is the highest production of wine. Moreover, we need to take into account that at the end of the 60s of the XXth century, a new regulation was introduced in Italy about the wine: DOC – denominazione origine controllata, a quality certification given to the soil where the the grapes to make the wine are coming from. The first area to get the certification in all Italy was Marsala, the second one was Alcamo, in all Italy! Therefore, western sicily detains both the gold and silver medal for quality certification for their soils. We will also then face another original aspect of my tours called the Florio tour. Florio was the most flourished family of Sicily during the Belle Époque, a legendary dynasty of business people dealing with all the main activities of western sicily, including Palermo. During the tour we will see areas of the winery that made the history of the most notorious wine in the history of wine of Sicily called Marsala, a wine made by especially the Grillo grape, the most popular in Western Sicily: by the way, my surname is Grillo, too!
If there will be enough time, it would be a pleasure to enrich the day by visiting the most appealing landscape and sightseeing sites of the area and may be jump to the archeological site of Segesta, capital of the ancient civilization of Western Sicily: the Elymians.
