1st time for us! Despite the adjective "extreme" it was fun and safe. The Bikram Guide put us at ease and gave us great confidence.

The East Glacial River is full of turbulent water so rapids come often. It is a narrow deep gorge most of the way which adds to the excitement. Our crew got us involved paddling for short bursts. Be prepared to get wet in this cold water but they provide good wetsuits. Tip arrive wearing your swim suit( so you are ready for the hot tub at the end, but layered that with thermals top and bottom and a beanie. You do need to be able to hold your breath and be prepared to be thrown out at least once. Our crew was experienced enough to get us all back in the boat safely. Not for the faint hearted but doable. For those who want more action there is a chance to jump off a cliff and a few other things. The hot lamb soup at the end was awesome. A great way to be in the canyon landscape instead of walking above. We had blue skies the whole way which definitely made it visually more stunning and helped keep us warmer.

It was one of the most fun experiences during our stay in Iceland. It’s definitely worth it to challenge yourself and go rafting. Two hours of full adrenaline and teamwork and a delicious soup and warm hot tub afterwards. We will definitely come back!

Amazing rafting tour with an even more amazing guide Rabi.

Great extreme rafting tour. It is rough and cold but really fun and very professional team. Be prepared this is an adventure not a tourist tour. Take warm clothes under wet suit and hat as it can be chilly with the wind. You may fall off the boat, which is part of the experience

We booked a trip at bakkaflot river rafting as they have the whole package. Cabins or hotel for overnight stay + spa and pool with 3 different water temperature pools from 37-40 degrees. Great to jump in after river rafting. We were with team Nepal and our guide was Ramosh. Fantastic trip. 30 min drive and we were at the river. 2 hour river rafting with lots of adrenaline rush and a few times in the river. Level 4-5 rapids. Followed by a fantastic hot soup to end the trip by the river. Fantastic professional people you shake hands with. Best recommendations from here!!!👌👍😃

Thanks to the great team/guides for making this trip unforgettable. If we had the chance we'd definitely go again.
Intense rafting experience and unique way to explore both the river but also the volcanic history by "driving" through the mountainous landscape. Fresh but not freezing despite jumping (and once falling) into the glacial river.

We had a very good time on a wild river in a beautiful surrounding. The guides were very kind and helpfull. Especially when we ended up in the water.
