The best sign that me and wife are great match is our love for Trekking. Considering a big gap in going for long treks, we decided just to start with a small -moderate trek and we stopped our search on Brahmtal trek. It starts from a small village called Lohjang, 40 km from Tharali town/subdivision in Uttarakhand state of India . This trek is about 12-15 km long and first stop was around 6km is Bekaltal. Here, a local Dhabd ( Bisht Dhaba)for snacks and even they can arrange packed dinner and Lunch to carry with you further in trek.
First half of trek is well defined and easy to walk. Second half starts from Bekaltal is bit confusing for first 1 km and you can easily get confused if you not having anyone know about the trek. So, donot try this by your own specially in bad weather conditions. After 1 km , there it is mixture of open grass grounds and small hills to climb. The view from summit was amazing and felt an achievement. For half of the way , we were walking through the clouds and views of this trek is stunning throughout. Brahmtal lake is below the hill , towards the left when you will be walking to summit point.
