Best guide and driver! Expert on region and culture. Great highlights and tons of information plus pride and knowledge of history-see all the good stuff and don't waste time! Navigate around busy tourist area to get a real view of the city. Ferry over and back from Hong Kong worked great too. Finally directed us to fabulous local lunch spot. Crab congee and fresh egg tart. Treat yourself don't miss out! Becky and pong are the best.

I stumbled onto Macau Explorer Travel from a friend’s reference to help construct a Macau experience for my overseas friends. Let me first say that their responsiveness has been nothing short of professional and timely. Working through the convenience of WhatsApp messages with an occasional phone call, I was able to finalize a bespoke Macau experience for my visiting friends. Macau Explorer Travel were extraordinarily helpful and understood the full concept of the experience. Working completely via the online platform - I must amidst that I had reservations about the need for me to pay in full well prior to the trip. However - I was comforted after speaking to friends who’ve used the company with great satisfaction.
On the day of the tour, the contact was the designated tour guide, Ms Cheryl. Let me say upfront that she was the ‘icing’ on the cake! She, in conjunction with the company arrangements, ensured a smooth pick-up of my friends at the border and escorted them on a well paced, incredibly informative and personal journey through the streets and sights of old Macau. My friends had nothing but accolades for Ms Cheryl’s work.
These friends are all seniors and the value-add from Ms Cheryl is her ability to attune and empathize with the needs of a senior group. Her routing, historical stories, and tempo spoke of comfort, quality with the intent to immerse the travelers in the rich history of Macau. In closing, Macau Explorer Travel’s arrangement, touch and responsiveness elevates them to a 5-Star company - but it was Ms Cheryl’s touch that made the experience ‘alive!’ This is a winning combination.

Wynn, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He provided useful info for all the sites we visited. He helped us to take good photos as well. Booking via Tripadvisor is very convenient, you can sure find the right deal/package that will meet your needs/requirements. Highly recommended.

An efficient itinerary with good historical background to Macao and its sites. Guide Wynn is knowledgeable and fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and witty too! Driver is safe and skillful. We highly recommend this tour!

Very well organized. It's a compact but not too rushed way to have a feel of Macau. Tour operators are friendly, great in communications and make you feel valued. Our guide Wynn and the driver are courteous and knowledgeable. We picked a weekday to go to Macau so it's not too busy. But unfortunately we can't go to the Mandarin House as it's not open on Wednesday. For people who wonder if you have time to eat, don't worry, you'll have sufficient time to snack and eat along the way. We opted for private veichle pick up in the morning, so we don't have to rush. Definitely left a good impression of Macau. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour with Wyn and skilled driver Derrick. We saw all the major landmarks of Macau. Wyn was a great guide and very knowledgeable about Macau and all the places we visited. Highly recommended tour.

Manuel is truly an insider of Macau - he knows all about Macau beyond the casinos! Our tour started at the ruins of Saint Paul, followed by stops for lunch and snacks at restaurants and cafés serving Macau delicacies. Finally, we ended our tour watching the pandas eat their dinner! I had a great time learning about the history of Macau from Manuel. I would highly recommend this tour!

Enjoyed our time with Elsa guiding us around Macau. If you need a tour guide highly recommend her. She was very considerate and gave us great insight of the history of the city.

I had limited time to see as much as possible while in Macau. I decided to do the private tour instead of group tour, because in reading the reviews, it appeared that the group tours have many delays and take too long. They could do them in a fraction of the time.
I was also by myself so I wanted to have the privacy and customization of the sites.....we visited so many in a perfect door-to-door 4 hour tour: Ruins of St. Paul, Guia Lighthouse, A-Ma Temple, The Panda Pavilion, Senado square, and....it goes on!
My tour guide, Manuel was welcoming, efficient, spoke perfect English, and was so knowledgeable about his homeland. He took me to all the sites on my list and I never felt rushed. It was the perfect amount of time at each spot.
On this tour, not only did I get to hand pick my itinerary, but we went to off-the-beaten-path places that a large bus could never get to.
I was in a comfortable, AC’d limo van, with a separate driver, so that Manuel sat in the back, next to me, telling me all about the history as we went along.
Added bonus: He is also a great photographer and was accommodating with helping document my visit with fabulous photos to share!
I cannot recommend this tour enough!!! It is an absolute MUST!!!!

Our ship is due to dock in Hong Kong at 0800, on a Friday morning in April. We would get a ferry to Macau as early as possible. Although we have been to HK before, this would be our first time travelling to Macau.
Is there any flexibility on the departure time of this tour, please? There will be two of us and a start at 1100 at the ferry terminal in Macau would be preferable for us.
