Booked online with Askos tours. Friendly, extremely passionate guide. Clearly proud to show people round. Great knowledge and keen to make the children in the tour group feel included. Two hours was perfect amount of time and thanks to the guide we really felt like we’d come away understanding life In Herculaneum. Would recommend!

Stunning. So much more meaningful than Pompeii, where many of its artifacts are in the museum in Naples. Two storey houses, colourful mosaics and a real sense of history. The beach and skeletons found there were jaw dropping.

Sehr schön und viel kleiner als pompeji sollte man gesehen haben.leider gibt es wie in pompeji keine schilder mit Erklärungen für die Fotos zuhause und brunnen mit Wasser wie im pompeji wären schön zur Abkühlung.

Our guide explained the difference of how the volcanic eruption impacted Pompeii and Herculaneum, also the differences of the towns. He showed us the ruins and explained the shops and homes, etc. Lots of finds in the museum. Very interesting.

Wir wurden von Herrn Dr. Luciano Leone vor dem Ticketoffice in Ercolano angesprochen und haben bei ihm eine stets kurzweilige zweistündige Tour auf Englisch erhalten. Durch ihn haben wir enorm viel Wissen auf unterhaltsame Art näher gebracht bekommen. Durch zusätzliche Materialien, die er mit sich herum trug, ließ er das Leben vor 2000 Jahren vor unseren Augen auferstehen . Nebenbei hat er als Extra-Bonus noch viele nette Familienfotos von uns gemacht. Wir können ihn nur wärmstens empfehlen. Man kann ihn direkt unter lucianoleone2005@libero.it oder https://www.guidaturisticacampania.net/chi-sono/?lang=en oder telefonisch 338.8109890 kontaktieren. Es gibt dort viele Guides - Luciano ist jedoch jeden Euro seiner Tour wert.

I visited Herculaneum with y two boys (aged 5 and 8) and booked Luciano Leone as private guide, having read other great reviews. I contacted him directly before we left the UK (00 338 8109890 or lucianoleone2005@libero.it) and arranged the tour date and meeting spot. I was concious that I wanted to make the best of the visit and keep the young minds interested - and all I can say - is that I wasn't disappointed. Luciano was fantastic - so enthusiastic and kept my children engaged for the 2 hour visit. They were enthralled by his knowledge and interesting facts a bout Herculaneum - which is a nicer experience than Pompeii - quieter, better preserved and smaller so a bit more manageable! I highly recommend Luciano and the tour - it really made our visit!

We have been to Pompeii and Decided to visit Herculaneum and we were not disappointed. There was lots of mosaics, marble and murals to see. The site is smaller than Pompeii but equally enjoyable. They are still excavating the area. The place is very clean and learnt loads.

This was our second tour with Lello and he did a wonderful job. It’s much better to have a private tour where you can spend more time at points of interest while moving quickly through others. Lello is very interactive and personalizes the tour to your taste.

The link to this tour says price is $A62. 64 per person but when I try to book for 2 people I am told total is nearly $A500. 00?
