We visited the park with a group of 4 adults. We started off with the zipline. It was fun, and all the park employees were efficient and safe when helping us with this activity. The superman zipline was a unique experience that we really enjoyed. The cultural tour was much cooler than we were expecting. We all learned new things about coffee and chocolate production. We loved that we got to taste different items throughout the hour presentation. The sloth feeding was neat, and there are many different types of animals and plants to see in the park. The buffet lunch had a good selection and we enjoyed the food. The beach access is an awesome bonus. We just did a quick visit to the beach at the end of our day, and the beach and water was beautiful! There are chairs, kayaks, and an outdoor shower available for use. There are shuttles to make moving around the park easier and quicker. This would be a good place for families to visit as there are opportunities to be more or less active depending on age/need.

I believe it's the only Zip Line that looks out to the ocean! It's a beautiful property. Not easy to get too. Many dirt roads but pricey. It's a once in a lifetime experience. The Cultural Tour is average it's just a guide that explains the history of Coffee and Coco Beans. You get a few samples. The Animal Sanctuary is very well done there are a lot of exhibits and Sloths, Tigers, Toucans, Crocodiles. The lunch package was good because there's no where else to eat. For the value it's just better to plan your day. You won't save much money just doing one thing, it's better to do it all and make a day trip of it.

What a great day !! 5 fun zip lines and we got the photo package- great pics ! Lots of cool critters too 🐒🦋🐸🐆coffee and cocoa demo was also very fun and informative and lunch was yummy also. Highly recommend !

The five zip lines and drop fall were both very exciting and safe. The staff was very attentive and prepared us well for the experience. The superman zip line is a little frightening, and I would not recommend it for anyone with a heart condition, but I believe it is very safe in every other way. It covers about a mile of air travel at high speed, and several hundred feet up! The animal exhibits were particularly good. Staff were enthusiastic to show off the animals and tell us about them. There was a great presentation on chocolate making and an excellent lunch as well.

Our family loved going to Diamante, from the crazy long "superman" zipline to the animals and cultural experiences. There was plenty of fun things to do and see!

My Wife and I went on a classic adventure to the Diamante Eco Park via the day pass option. We both highly recommend the trek to Bahia Matapalo for anyone visiting the Guanacaste Region of Costa Rica.
Their web site has good information on the various activities but we found some of the breakdowns confusing. In summary (my best guess).
The day passes include “beach access and lunch.” It also gives you access to all 5 zip line adventures, the animal sanctuary and the cultural center. Costs $125/$98 kids 5-10*
You can purchase separate passes:
All zip lines $80/$68 kids 5-10*
The cultural center and animal sanctuary $58/$48*
The animal sancturary $45/$38*
The horseback beach adventure $58 ages 8+
The ATV adventure ages 16+, $70 solo rider or $80 two riders
The zip line photo pack is $15
Personally, we paid $195 each for our trek because we also needed transport both ways out of Playa Flamingo. If you are staying at the Riu resort, it is just quick shuttle away.
The Pros.
We found the park thrilling, magical and educational in a unique location of Costa Rica. The staff is great and quality of adventures we completed were very good.
Notes and tips:
It took me 1.5 hours to complete all zip lines, the drop and a bridge.
Weight limits are 60 - 280 pounds and there is a weigh in.
No phones in pockets, no loose hats, shoes or glasses on zip lines. Consider the $15 photo pack because it is $35 after.
Use the nice toilets before suiting up for the zip lines. Water stations are at the zip line platforms.
Pay attention to the quick briefing before the first line.
Some kids may panic on the first zip line; be patient and kind. The age range is a guideline.
The truck shuttle on a steep winding road to the Superman platform (2nd leg) is a thrill on its own. My Wife said even more thrilling going down (she bypassed Superwoman.)
You might feel awkward in the Super suit; I did.
The backwards drop-off was spooky to me.
The “Indy Jones” bridge crossing over the alligator pit was a final bonus.
The Costa Rican lunch and cold drinks are much appreciated after Superman.
Try the fresh chips and fried plantains with dip.
There is a small bar as well.
Personally, I found the Superman zip line experience humbling and enlightening. It gave me a different perspective while touring the Animal Sanctuary.
According to the knowledgeable staff, most of the larger animals were given sanctuary because they were former “pets” not raised in the wild. The Jaguars seem huge up close. The Sloths sleep a lot and move extremely slow. The Poison Dart frogs are very small. The various butterflies are magical. And, the various monkeys seem to like being photographed.
The Cons.
My Wife and I are retired and we simply ran out of time and energy to visit the culture center or the beach.
If you have a rental car, be careful on the roads to and from the Eco Park.
It is very warm in the region, so hydrate often.
Bottom Line.
Yes, we want to go again. We would go again. And, we highly recommend this trip.
We look forward to our next trek to The Diamante Eco Adventure Park to explore a little more and review the areas we missed.

We went for zip lining, and it was great experience. Our group of six ranged from age 23 to 80, and everyone was able to participate. Staff were helpful and patient. Shuttles ran often, we did not wait long anywhere. Buffet lunch was hot with variety. Great views. Take shuttle to beach, take a walk, relax in a hammock (included).

My friend & I are both in our early 70s and we both loved this all day park experience! We got round trip transport from Tamarindo through the Diamante tour site & our driver, Kevin did an excellent job navigating traffic, deep water filled washouts & steep hills & sharp turns. I wouldn’t recommend using your own vehicle. The view from the reception area is breathtaking. We began with the zip line which they make so easy & safe to do. They are so professional & proficient as well as fun that my friend also had a blast ziplining for her first time. The sanctuary exhibits were so interesting & informative & the staff at each area were so knowledgeable, helpful, personable & kind. The only area deficient were the orchids which they told us that they are just too hot & dry this time of the year. Lunch was delicious & included in our full day adventure pass. Having lockers provided to store belongings was also a nice convenience. I would highly recommend this tour. My friend & I would definitely go back!

Wonderful day! We thought we purchased 1 zip line and ended up doing 5, including the Superman! What an experience and bucket list item complete! For what we received the price was great!
Great lunch, Natua park was very shaded and pleasant to walk around. Many water stations. We sat on the beach for a while and relaxed.

Our day at Diamante Eco Adventure Park was nothing short of amazing! The experience kicked off with an adrenaline rush as we rode 5 incredible zip lines, taking in stunning views along the way. The last zip line landed us right in the animal sanctuary, seamlessly transitioning us from excitement to awe.
The animal sanctuary was a highlight—learning the stories behind the rescued animals made the experience so meaningful. Watching the sloth feeding was an absolute treat - Lucy the sloth is a ray of sunshine we’ll never forget.
The cultural demonstration on coffee and cocoa was fascinating, offering an engaging insight into local traditions. To top it all off, the lunch was delicious, rounding out a day packed with adventure, education, and fun. Highly recommend this unforgettable experience!

What transportation is available from playas del coco if don’t want to drive? What are the roads like from Coco? Also, can you just do one zipline?

Of course, you can go by car. I suggest Uber, but taxis in Coco are easy to get. There are no bus lines that go there., and the walk up the hill to the reception/restaurant, is steep.

In what way does the zip line time matter? The earlier or later the better?

When you arrive you have the full day at the adventure park. They will offer you time slots so if you get there early you can have the pick of all the 3 hrs time slots

We will be staying in Tamarindo. We'll need transportation to the park. Booking private transportation is pricey. Is there a shuttle or bus from Tamarindo? We also have the option of renting a car- is the road easy to navigate?

We were there in September/Oct this year. The two most rainiest months of the season. We had rain every day. Most days started around 3ish and normally lasted and hour or two. If you are going to the cloud forest expect it too rain most of the time. However, we were really lucky on the three occasions we went. Just had drizzly showers. Make sure you pack a rain mac, you'll need it at some point.
