What a fantastic adventure with the amazing Sarah as a guide. At the start of the trip we were asked what we were looking to get out of the tour as we had a mix of people from quite serious amateur photographers to people like myself that just wanted a little help with taking some nice photos of a beautiful place which helped focus where we would go and look for opportunities to get what we were each looking for. Sarah was a master finding areas to keep everyone happy and giving us freedom to explore what we wanted whilst still give amazing individual attention to all of her guests. Her passion for her craft, knowledge, enthusiasm and encouragement made it an amazing experience.

Alice and I done both the Photographic Adventure and next day, the Abisko National Park Hike. Nigel was our guide on both occasions. He was both humorous and extremely knowledgable. The Northern Lights didn't show, but we still had a great evening and took some great photos. Would recommend both trips to anone.

Miquel was an amazing instructor, he not only got me out of ‘auto’ mode when using my camera but he took me to spots I would have never seen in beautiful Abisko. This was one of those lifetime memorable experiences.

Great trip. Saw wonderful lights. Sara and Michael were great guides. We watched the lights for 2 hours from a frozen lake. Photos were great. We had a nice fire for warmth with learn lingonberry juice. The guides could not have been better.

We were lucky to have Sarah from Lights over Lapland lead our group. Sarah was a patient guide who made sure everyone’s photographic needs were met at the level and need they wanted to. Sarah obviously researched the best spots on that day before setting off. She led the group to one spot on the lake that was the most amazing experience- the water had whipped up from the lake and frozen on trees - she called it Narnia and she was right!! The only bad thing about the tour was that it had to end.

I have been chasing the auroras for many years. I have been to Tromso,Finnish Laplands and Iceland to see the auroras. I have been lucky everywhere. I wanted to visit Sweden to kind of finish my European Aurora chase and researched for months where to go in Sweden and who do i go to to help me chase. I then came across an article about Chad and how he moved his life to Abisko and setup his company. I booked the 100 percent 4 night private aurora trip before covid and for 2 years couldnt make it. Our trip was moved each year without any questions by Chad and his team and this was already a great first impression of the company. Finally this year and during solar maximum we made it. Guess what we saw the auroras from the plane. How about that. Abisko wins from the start. At the airport we were greeted by Oliver Wright the best landscape and macro photographer in the world. You can look at the pics i have attached and decide for yourself. Quick stop to burger king and we were already at our first stop to see the auroras. We saw 2 other groups and within 40 minutes they all left and we kept waiting. What we saw after that cannot be described in words. Maybe you can imagine it seeing the pics but we saw auroras dance in colors i have never seen and for 45 minutes filling the whole sky. At one point in time we were going crazy which side to see. Yeah this was the first evening. The thing with Oliver is that he will not just focus on auroras but also on the wilderness of the place itself. We went on to the river delta in stormy conditions and had the experience of the lifetime. Each evening we had a luxurious and different camp site with warm lingenberry juice and lots of conversations to give us company. We even found Lynx tracks and names of some of the wild animals i dont even know. Each day and night was a different experience . We learned about landscape photography , macro photography wild life nature and so much more. The cabin itself was a home away from home(yes you could even see the auroras from our cabin). Fridge was always stocked, we cooked so many meals and kept calling Oliver to stock up on eggs dessert and drinks which he so kindly did :) I could write about this experience for hours but after 40 countries,5 continents and 4 million miles i found Abisko to be the best place on the planet to witness the auroras, Oliver to be the best photographer-guide in the world and Lights over Lapland Chad and team to be the best travel company to make this dream come true. Many thanks Lights over Lapland and Hell yeah i am coming back :)

it's an amazing trip. Abisko is unbelievable beautiful, 3 days is not enough to enjoy the whole views. We participated in an activity called Chasing the aurora. Miquel is the tour guide, he is very nice and very familer with how to chase the aurora. And also he is a professional photographer.

This was great for day 1! Our guide, Sarah, took us down to the local frozen lake for some amazing landscape photos. She was extremely helpful in setting up our cameras to allow for the best shots. The group was fantastic and really took to each other quickly. Definitely recommended!

We went on the night photography with Chris and it was an amazing experience. We were really lucky to see a lot of the lights, and Chris kept on top of what was going on with the cameras, and when the lights were beginning to appear.

Sarah Skinner was an amazing guide - very kind and considerate of everyone in the group. She was also very informative on how to capture the scenery in the best possible way - very apt teacher! I would recommend going with her on any trip.
