We rent a car for 2 weeks in Zanzibar and we were more than happy with the services we received. The car was ready and we were expected at the agreed hour, same as when we left. The car was in a good condition perfect for the Zanzibar’s bumpy roads. I 100% recommend Karibu Kwetu services, choose them and you won’t regret!

We rented a Rav4 from them via VIPcars website and everything was perfect.
From the booking Karibu Kwetu to offer to realize free Zanzibar driving license (mandatory). One person we expect at the airport arrival and hand us the keys.
Having not bought a sim card for google map, Karibu Kwetu provided a wifi box with sufficient data for 5 days of driving.
Always available through whatsapp, the Hadifh manager answers us if we needed information.
Vehicle with miles but the Toyota Rav4 is known for its robustness. No major concerns to comment.
And you have to be robust to travel the roads of Zanzibar, if the majority of the roads are paved, we were often required to drive on the tracks leading to hotels or when Google sends you on paths where a 4x4 is required.
I would recommend 200% Karibu Kwetu for their seriousness, kindness and availability. Without hesitation I will go back through them.
Yes, one last thing the value for money hard to find better.

We rented a car and did Safari Blue with them and were very pleased.
They are very professional, ready to help at any time and provide you with local tips, which are really helpful.

This car rental company adapted to our last minute changes linked to the cancellation of our flight. For the restitution it also went very well with complete confidence. Overall the service was very good, very simple with available and helpful staff.

The service of the people from the Karibu Kwetu Zanzibar rental company was very friendly, polite and helpful. The correspondence before, during and after returning the car was without reservations and ongoing. The car worked without reservations. With a clear conscience we recommend the rental company to anyone who wants to visit this beautiful country by car.

Me and my husband rented a car at Karibu Kwetu for our stay in Zanzibar. The car was a good value for money. The agency provided us with a temporary driving license for Zanzibar, which is obligatory. They were flexible, adaptable, easy to reach and efficient in solving problems. Thank you for your great service!

Great surprise with this agency: if you need to rent a car on Zanzibar you can call on KaribuKwetu with your eyes closed. First of all, the rates are very competitive: we only paid 25 euros per day (via a broker) for a Toyota RAV4 L, a 4*4 vehicle with automatic transmission that I strongly recommend given the state of the road network and left-hand drive in Zanzibar. The agency took care of all the formalities for me to get my temporary Tanzanian driver's license, which is mandatory to drive on the island and normally costs $20, and the car rental license was displayed on the windshield. Everything has therefore been done according to the rules, which is rarely the case in Africa, and which has allowed us to avoid paying “bakchich” to the too many policemen who arrested us to control us under false pretexts. The agency was very accommodating when, due to a change in airplane schedules, we had to change the locations and schedules of both pick-up and drop-off of our vehicle. Finally, when we had an accident with unfortunate consequences for our car, everything was done to limit our damage despite the fact that we had not taken out additional insurance for this rental. Special mention to a Hafid and his colleague Mohamed for their sense of customer service and the quality of their overall service to us

Terrible customer service, although the service itself was adequate (i mean car was quite old and not in great overall shape, but that's ok considering the roads in Zanzibar) , what was terrible was the poor attitude of your liaison person with your clients, If your agent Amour cannot have some manners then he should be doing that job, simple as that. disappointing to say the least

Rented a car with Karibu Kwetu for our roadtrip round Zanzibar island. Very good contact with Hafidh. The day before rental started he contacted me per what's app to arrange local driving licence. Next day, car pick up was very quick, our Rav4 was in good condition and our tour could start. The day before drop off I contacted Hafidh to arrange car return. He asked where we would come from to arrange best possible place without disturbing our last day. When we informed him about our plan = drop the car at city center (same place as pick up) and take a taxi to the airport he immediately told us that drop off same place was not necessary, it could occur at airport and this would avoid a taxi from city center. He also offered a meeting point with a colleague who would drive us for the last part of the drive because roads were under repair and in very, very bad conditions (even worse than other roads on the island !). I must say this was a brilliant idea and I was very happy to hand over the car because the last part of the drive to the airport has really been difficult.
Thanks to Hafidh for his permanent follow up per what's app and phone, good advices on road conditions, rules to observe and what to watch out for.
