Our experience at Mikumi Park in Max's camp was the highlight of our trip to Tanzania. Max made our first safari adventure truly unforgettable. We initially booked our tour through an agent at Sindbad Tours & Safaris in Stone Town. Unfortunately, the agent did not fulfill their promise to pay for the camp and tour. Despite this setback, Max ensured everything proceeded smoothly, just as if it had been properly booked and paid for.
Max's proficiency in advanced English made communication easy and clear. His team was incredibly helpful and competent, providing exceptional personal and professional service. Max's dedication to maintaining the reputation of his country, even when dealing with unreliable third parties, was commendable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you're planning a safari, Max's camp at Mikumi Park is simply the best choice!

Three days trip to mikumi was such an amazing experience, me and my friends where humbly honored to be hosted by Max a nicest guy to spend time with, and john the guy back at the camp such a nice guy with a 10/10 hospitality. Looking forward to be hosted by the double G safaris to more and more adventurer places. I miss there already.

I recently went on a fantastic safari with Double G Safari in Mikumi National Park, Everything about the experience was amazing from beginning to end.
First and foremost, the hospitality at the camp was exceptional many thanks to John. The staff made us feel like we were part of their family, ensuring that every need was met with warmth and efficiency. The food was delicious and varied, adding to the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay.
Our safari experience was truly unforgettable, and much of that is thanks to our fantastic tour guide, Max. His charm, humility, and extensive knowledge of the park made the journey both educational and delightful. He shared fascinating stories about the animals features and behaviors, enhancing our appreciation of the wildlife we encountered.
The safari vehicle was in excellent condition, making for a smooth and comfortable ride as we explored the park. Every game drive was filled with excitement as we spotted an array of animals in their natural habitat. The bonfire experience back at the camp was the perfect way to end each day.

We had booked with Maximilian a stay for 3 days and 3 nights, first half day with the masai, then 2 days of whole safaris. Everything started well, great welcome by the Double G Safaris team, team with little care, 2h00 with the masai... Maximilian arrived at our evening meal explaining that he had lost his cell phone and our discussions about the upcoming program even though we had him the day before on the phone to confirm everything. Little worry but reading our exchanges, he validates the next 2 days (2 days safari), we pay him in cash and explains that he will not be our guide because he is too busy and but will put us someone we trust.
The next morning we left serenely with the same guide who had taken us to visit the Maasai village. It is adorable and we spend an unforgettable day.
On the way back, I tell him about the next day. Surprised, he told me that Maximilian had told him that it was over for us, that we left the next day by train to Dar Es Salaam. Surprised, anxiety rises, we try to reach Maximilian who does not answer us. We arrive at the camp thinking to see him to discuss it but we are told that he had to leave and that he will not be there tonight! He sends us a simple message to tell us to pay the guide admission to Mikumi!
Our guide comes to tell me that Max just called him, that he took our train tickets for the next morning at 7:00 am and that it is so and not otherwise!
The team on site is misunderstood, our children crying to have to leave like this. We feel like we're being kicked out of camp.
Maximilian will no longer answer us, our driver will have him on the phone but will not be able to do anything to change the situation.
We leave sad, the adorable camp team with us is sad also.
Maximilian is a liar, a crook with no morals.
Guide to proscribing that gives a sad image of his country where people are so adorable.
The next morning we left serenely with the same guide who had taken us to visit the Maasai village. It is adorable and we spend an unforgettable day.
On the way back, I tell him about the next day. Surprised, he told me that Maximilian had told him that it was over for us, that we left the next day by train to Dar Es Salaam. Surprised, anxiety rises, we try to reach Maximilian who does not answer us. We had a great stay!
Arriving early in the afternoon, we were welcomed very warmly by the Doublegsafari team! After our lunch we left for a wonderful safari! Maximilien is very professional, he gave us time to observe the different animals and gave us very interesting information about each of them!
After sunset we returned to camp. Life on the camp is truly exceptional: the accommodation is great, the dinner was great and we then enjoyed a campfire. We slept very well!
After a hearty breakfast, we set off again for a morning of safari that was just as exceptional as the day before! After our lunch we returned to Dar es Salaam: a big thank you to our driver, very punctual and very safe driving.
We will come back for more adventures!!

Thanks to Max we were able to experience two unforgettable days! He makes so much effort to always find the right place. Thanks to him we were able to see a lot of animals up close. Max also tells us a lot of interesting facts about the animals and the micronational park, which is really great! On top of that we stayed with Max in the lodge in the jungle. The staff there are also very accommodating and super friendly! And the room is also designed with attention to detail.

Double G Safari and its staff are highly recommended. Max took a lot of time to explain everything to us. He knew the national park very well and knew where the animals were. He was able to answer all of our questions and was always friendly.

Great day with Maximillion. Highly recommend these guys. We tried another company before but made them turn back due to different reasons. Maximillion was great with our daughter explaining things to her
