We waited and waited and nobody showed up. Nobody answered the contact phone number. Nobody answered the text. We requested a refund.

Un tour excelente 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Tube la vista de mis directivos de USA y decidí como extra actividad reservar un tour con Hidden tours para q conocieran la Costa Brava y tengo q decir que la experiencia fue excelente! Nos hicieron sentir como si estuviéramos en un viaje de siete estrellas en todo momento, cuidado todos los detalles y haciéndonos conocer lugares muy especiales q poca gente visita! Excelente 👌🏻🌟

It's like being shown around by a friend

If you're not into touristy type tours with strict schedules but would like to learn about the places you are going then I would recommend BCN Hidden Tours. Gerard is super easy going and very open so it was more like a Spanish friend showing us around his home town than a tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and shared interesting bits and pieces of information as they came up naturally as well as the basics of the history of Costa Brava. We stopped at a great place for lunch. We ate while Gerard went off for a while to do his own thing. If I did another tour with BCN I think I'd like one with more walking next time. This one's pretty easy going which I'm sure is perfect for most though.

A beautiful day

We had a fantastic day with our host seeing the wonderful sights of Costa brava. We learnt a lot about the history that we would otherwise never have known. We stopped for a beautiful lunch. It was a very personalised experience and felt more like being shown around by a friend with deep local knowledge than being on a “tour”. Great day!

Waste of a day

We expected more hiking. It was only 15 minutes of an easy walk. Why the restrictions on pregnancy etc.? Lunch was not provided and not offered as a stop until we were starving and requested a break. We drove through rice fields for 45 minutes with no stop. No bathroom stops without our asking. Snacks were suitable for 10 yr olds. One water per person and lots of juice boxes. We ran through each village with no casual exploration. We felt like we were on a tour bus that was on a strict schedule not like a private tour.

Dear Gina, first of all, we are so sorry that we did not fill your expectations and you "wasted your day". Referring for the only 15 minutes easy walk and the restrictions of pregnancy is just only for the safety of our customers, as by low, we need to do it and warn pregnant women and people with back problems.. Of course, if you wanted to walk more or hike, you just needed to say to your guide, ss the tour is at your "own pace". About the lunch not provided, we always clarify that this point depends on you, in the booking (and pre-booking) it is perfectly written "lunch not included". We know that from the benining your guide told you literaly "whatever you need, just let me know, any stop, extra or break", so if you were in need for a break or a stop, you just needed to ask to your guide. Referring to the snacks, water and juice… We try to offer some crisps, energy bars or something easy to eat during a break, and about drinks, due company policy we offer juice and botteled water. Your last point about "no casual exploration and you felt like you were on a bus on a strict schedule", we are sorry to read that, and we just to remind you, again, that your guide told you from the benining, that if you needed something, just say it so, as the tour is totally private and at your own pace. Why you did not inform the guide during the tour? Instead of saying nothing and feel that you "wasted a day", we recommend you that during a tour if you don't feel well, you feel pushed by the organisation or you do not like something during the visit, just talk to your guide, he will be pleased to fix it or give you plenty of alternatives. This is his job and this is strictly said from the begining of the tour several times. In order to close this point, from BCN Hidden Tours we totally disagree with your review, as all the points written on the booking were strictly followed one by one, this is one of our best tours, and the rest of reviews so it say rating us with 5 stars.

Wonderful day

We spent a Sunday with Gerard driving up the Costa Brava. We walked through three small coastal villages and then had a lovely lunch at a restaurant at the top of the hills. The weather was perfect in the morning which added to the pleasure. Later we drove into the countryside stopping at two walled towns. Gerard was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable about the history of the area. He also told us much about the current economy of Spain and his experience setting up a business. Would highly recommend Gerard!
