My partner and I just got open water scuba certified and had the absolute best experience! Jack and Jamie were our instructors and they were so patient, positive, and helpful. They really made us feel soooooo safe the entire time in what could be a more stressful experience learning how to dive. They helped me when I was struggling with my buoyancy and were very patient when I (young female) struggled managing heavy gear. We are so pleased we went with Abyss!
Extra shoutout to Jack because he is a newer instructor but I would’ve thought he had years of experience!!

I have to say this Wow! What an amazing experience. I was at the Abyss Scuba Diving for my open water dive course. Both trainers Christy and Thomas were phenomenal. Their organisation and delivery of the course was simple fun. The way they conducted the in pool trainings and then open water dives was phenomenal. I was scared at start but not made sure that through fun, jokes and given right amount of care made me finish the course easily.

Highly recommend doing the beginner Freediving course with Abyss. The course was run even with one person enrolled (me) but they generally have small class sizes so everyone gets to practice in a low pressure environment. Rachael is an excellent instructor, experienced but very relatable, lovely and funny. We took time making sure the equipment and weighting was spot and her enthusiasm for freediving was infectious.

I absolutely loved being an intern with Abyss. They helped me become the best divemaster I could be. It was the best 2 months of my life spending it with amazing mentors and beautiful sea life. Every single instructor I worked with was kind and inspiring. Jamie was my mentor and was truly incredible. I highly recommend doing any course through Abyss.

I had a great experience doing my Open Water PADI Certification with Abyss Scuba! Our instructors James and Bo were amazing, they were super helpful/patient with teaching the skills up to the proper standards for everyone of different abilities. They really made the class a fun and positive environment. I had some sizing issues with my equipment on day one, and James really took the time to help me find the right equipment for the next day. Diving at Bare Island was great and gave a taste of what real diving will be like outside of a certification class. I definitely want to go on more dives with Abyss Scuba!

Did my open water here, had Jordan as my instructor.

Best Dive shop in Sydney. Abyss staffs are very professional and weekend dive programs are awesome. If you don’t feel very comfortable to dive with group as I was, I highly recommend you to try the private diving program with Abyss staff. They are very knowledgeable and supportive to have you to grab your confidence within 2 dives.

My son and I completed our Open Water dive course this afternoon.
Steve and Christy, our instructors, couldn't have been more knowledgeable, patient or encouraging. This instilled a sense of calm and assurance through all the students.
We enjoyed the famous tomato soup and rolls that was served for lunch as well.
Thanks to the Abyss team for such a top notch experience.

Hi
When travelling south from the centre of Sydney, our dive shop is less than 20 minutes away. Come out on the Eastern Distributor and continue along the Grand Parade, turn right into Ramsgate Road and right into Campbell Street, left down Meurants Lane then left into Rocky Point Road.

The Helicopter which had the capacity to do this was relocated from Sydney so we cannot offer this type of diving anymore.

You do need to do some training before you can scuba dive. It is possible to do a short experience die with minimum training, although personally I would always recommend a PADI open water course.
The PADI open water course can be done with as little as 2 days in water training and gives you a qualification which will last a lifetime.

Hi, you can book all the courses, scuba diving activities and a large range of scuba diving gift certificate online at Abyss Scuba Diving. If your friend cannot dive it may be best to get a Dive Lessons Gift Certificate and this will then enable them to choose the exact option they want in terms of their PADI Open Water Course.
Check out the Abyss Scuba Diving web site it is very extensive.
