This is such a lovely place. Tucked away from the bustle on a beautiful beach, you enter down a narrow lane and reach a beautifully lit entrance into a little paradise. I appreciated the eco-conscious ethos and natural beauty of the place. The food is fresh and excellent, with a variety from Indian and Goan to more continental offerings. The staff makes the place magical. So very kind and attentive and genuinely friendly.
I loved my stay and had a relaxing and restorative visit. Well done!

Had a pleasant three days here in February. The cottage room was a good size, with plenty of storage for clothes and other stuff - unlike lots of other places in this bracket. Also, importantly, there were plenty of plug points, which again is an area lots of places fall short on. Wifi was pretty spotty, though.
The art on the walls gave the place some character. Air-conditioning worked adequately. Water is provided in a glass bottle, refilled daily. If you run out, you can step out to the cafe for a refill.
Bathroom was a bit meh. No separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, which meant water got all over the floor (and it takes a while to dry in the humidity of Goa). Also, at this price point, you'd expect something a little better than miniature bars of Medimix soap as the sole toiletry provided.
The place was pretty clean and the room was cleaned every day I was there.
The room let out onto the cafe area, so it was not as private as some might like, in that as soon as you opened the door and walked down a small flight of stairs, you were pretty much next to the first of the tables in the cafe – which was nearly always full of people.
Bobby at the front desk was friendly and cheerful.
Vaayu is pretty much on the beach, but note that there's an inlet of water that you need to wade across to get access to the beach proper if you want to head north towards Mandrem. To go south to Ashwem and Morjim, you can walk along the creek until you hit the main beach past the mouth of the inlet.

Thank you for this thorough and kind review. We are sorry we didn't respond back to it sooner. We are so glad you enjoyed the space overall and that you felt our accommodation manager Bobby was friendly and cheerful. We are sorry the wifi wasn't that good, and we have definitely taken your feedback about the soap and bathroom. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our first home Vaayu Village at the end of last year, but are so glad you got to experience it when you were in Goa last.
We hope if ever you find yourself back in Goa you will visit us at our new location in Mandrem.

A lovely little garden bar with very tasty tacos!
You can hire surf boards from here if there’s any surf (there wasn’t when we stayed).
Try the smoothies, they’re lush.

Vaayu rents out different watersports equipments. It is located near Vaayu(Ashwem) Beach. The staff is hospitable and accommodating. I had rented a surfboard, rental prices are fair. They have a cafe within the premises which is really helpful if you wish to take a break, It's a good place to have snacks. They also have rooms if you wish to stay here.

Hired a board overhere to spent few hours on sun with vawes, not so extreme but lot of fun with padle board and muscle guys

Thank you for the review. We are glad you had fun at our adventure center. We built it with the intention of giving people traveling in Goa something else fun and healthy to do. We feel blessed to have such a beautiful beach and ocean right next to us. It always feels so nice when we can spend time in the water surfing, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, or kitesurfing.

Majoituin perheeni kanssa tänne viikoksi. Paikan palvelu on erittäin ystävällistä ja huomaavaista. Lapsiperheille suosittelen, että majoitutte ilmastoituun huoneeseen, ei rannan bambumajoihin, jotka ovat näkymiltään mahtavat, mutta öisin hyvin meluisia. Huoneet puolestaan ovat rauhallisia ja mukavia. Paikassa on myös viihtyisä kahvila/ravintola, jossa kävimme usein. Henkilökunta on valmis neuvomaan retkikohteiden valinnassa.

I had a friend staying at Vaayu, so I ended up spending a lot of time there.
First off, their food is excellent. I didn't eat anything I didn't like. I would recommend the stuffed peppers or the fish tacos.
Secondly, the staff are great. I cut my foot on the way back from the beach and even though I wasn't staying there they offered me first aid to my foot. This was very much appreciated as in a place like India it can get infected very easily. They also care very much about their community and the people and animals in it.
The atmosphere of the resturant and lounging areas are very laid back and chill. I would go back to Vaayu again for sure.

Hi Nifad,
Sadly we close for the monsoon from now until October 20th. The ocean can be incredibly rough in July and it is not conducive for teaching, plus our space isn't really designed for the rainy season. That said, Goa in the monsoon is incredibly quiet, peaceful and beautiful... so we hope you have a lovely trip and soak up some R&R.
