Our family book day trip to the island. If you have a family party of more than 5 people, it is preferable to book a day before your trip to guarantee a spot on the boat.
The waves are rough but my family are still game for swimming and snorkeling.
From the beach, a little hike will take you to the Greek ruins. The island was definitely a great site for photos and they have a nice breathtaking view of the ocean.
We were lucky that we almost had the island to ourselves.

A day tour is more than sufficient here. I however did an overnight one which was not enjoyable to say the least. There’s not much to do in the island. There’s no electricity and running water. You’ll need to bring your own tent to sleep on and no bathroom to speak off. The beach is littered with trash and you need to wear slippers or aqua shoes while walking around

If you're a fan of something unique then this place is for you. We stayed there overnight and it's a worth while experience. We arrived on the island around 10 AM and explored the beauty of the place. There's not a lot of activity in the island but the island offers a lot of places where you can get perfect instagram pics and the view of the sunset and sunrise is breath-taking. If ever you drop by at Nasugbu include this on your bucket list. Some resorts offer island hopping tours and you can include this on the list. Overall all 9 out of 10!.

Ito ung island which is very cheap but you will enjoy this island very much lalo na kasama friends mo na mga mahilig sa adventure kc medyo mahaba ang byahe going to that island at maalon pero kapag nandon na kayo sa island grabe "worth it" ang view . Shooting place din sya ng palabas sa GMA , dala lang kayo ng tent para mas okay.

We hired a boat the day before and were picked up at 6am in front of the John Del Beach resort where we stayed.
We negotiated for PHP 3500 down from PHP 5000. We were told the entrance to to Island is PHP 350 per person.
We found out later, that the price of PHP 5000 includes the entrance fee. So as a group of 4 we finally ended up with the same price.
What we also learned was, if you agreed with a boat to get you there you have to visit the office of fortune island, which is located in the Fortune Island resort and register before your trip.
On arrival we rented a bahai cubo for P1500 (depending on availability) which is advisable if you like to stay and swim. Unless you bring your tent. Overnight stay is possible but there are neither restaurants nor accommodations, so you have bring everything. Also different entry fees apply in this case.
If you leave Nasugbu early as we did, you can be back by lunch.
From the beach of the island it is a short hike to the "Greek columns". A place for good Foto shooting. The columns contain re-enforced steel bars and are therefore hardly put there by the old Greek.
Nevertheless the area gives a breathtaking view of the ocean.
Returning to the beach on the alternative path you can climb down on the opposite side to a cove where the brave ones can do some cliff diving.
The beach itself is a mix of fine white sand and rough corals. The waters are cristal clear and if you snorkel 20 meters of the beach you can see color full corals and fish.
There are ruins of a restaurant and swimming pool. But unfortunately they are abandond.
The island also gas a light tower but we could not find a path to get there.

Visiting Fortune Island seems exciting in photo. Experiencing greek-inspired ruins seems unique and unforgettable.
Fortune Island is a seemingly virgin island. No electricity, no toilets, no commercialism except for a small store.
However, much effort is needed in maintaining the cleanliness of the place. Tourists need to be monitored well and other amenities and spots need to be checked regularly.
The cliff diving spots are nice but could be dangerous. Safety personnel are needed.
All in all, it's good enough for a one-time visit unless major improvements are done.

It was an Expectation Vs Reality. The Island was very pretty when your still 500 Kilometers away but when you entered the island, there’s a lot if grabages anywhere. It cost more from parking to renting a boat and an entrance? For what? For environmental blah blah but there’s ni maintenance because it was obvious that they never. Lcleaned the island. There was no trashcans, no shade to stay while the sun was very angry 😂 No security, literaly your in the Island. The locals (whi operated the boat) told us that u can save more if you went directly to them not the one who’se outside convincing you to do island hopping. It’s kinda dangerous also to go back from 3pm onwards because if the heavy big waves. My friends got worried because we’re almost 2 hours travelling back.
Advise: Go to the fortune island early morning so that you can get back early afternoon. Be sure to bring, Sunblock, shades, umbrella, wear rushgards if you don’t want to be tan, tent if you want to stay overnight, water!! It’s very important and some snacks!! There’s a poor connection in the island too.

The place is nice but it's hot! If you know how to swim and have a thing for cliff diving, this place is for you.
Hot temperature from 9am to 4pm. Overnight: arrive at 2pm the depart at 9am
Enjoy the beach at 2pm and as early as 430am. No toilets. Its like living in as island literally

That's how much we paid each to be there ...for what? There were no toilets, no water, no trees or anything to shelter from the scorching sun, no trash cans, and nobody to clean up the place. It's so poorly maintained that the owners should be ashamed to ask even 1USD as entrance fee. Not to mention we had to shell out thousands of pesos for the boat rental!
And there was not even a semblance of order - people camped right at the ruins - the famous Greek-like columns that we expected we could take pictures of and with. Our pictures had more people than columns! People should not be allowed to camp there as they ruin the view for others - or did they pay more to stay there?
There were natural cliff diving spots that seemed really risky, but were being enjoyed by some adrenaline junkies - with no thought as to what happens when there is an accident as mainland was at least 45 minutes away by boat.
The water surrounding the island was okay but you will have to endure feeling sticky for hours as there are no showers. The waters in this part of Batangas can really be dangerous - that's why our boat crew urged us to leave before 2pm. We left even before that but still experienced turbulent waters that we thought we we're sure going to drown as the boat was small and rocked violently as it got buffeted by waves and strong winds! We went there at the height of summer - so please never attempt going after April when the monsoons start.
The small pier also was very dirty with trash all around - the community living there could be organized to be more aware of cleanliness as they can earn more if visitors keep coming. Still no bathroom at this place - so we just requested to use the bathroom of our trike driver for a fee. He also offered to cook us a meal (also for a fee) since we were extremely hungry from all the tossing we endured in the boat.
Online pictures were beautiful. Reality though was far from it. The DOT should just close this place if it cannot improve its facilities. Or at least regulate the rates charged to tourists. We certainly felt taken advantage of.

Within the island no, you need to provide evertyhing if you want ti have overnight. There’s a lot of resorts in nasugbu that you may stay after the island tour
