The stairway was laid to supply the inns on both sides of the stairs, with hot springs running through the middle of the stairs.
Staircases are shooting grounds and traditional spa towns. Yunohana manju is famous.

It has been the core area of Ikaho since it was founded by Takeda Katsuyori as a sanatorium.
There are hot spring shops and general stores along the way, and you can also drop off your haiku at rest stops along the way.
It is said that there are 365 steps in total, but the few steps immediately after going up from the plaza are excluded, so you will have to climb about 370 steps.
Along the way, there is a Ikaho Hanagi wrapping vending machine.
In addition, the Takahashi brothers and Takumi Fujiwara from Initial D are designed in the manhole, and are waiting for you.

I climbed 365 steps from the bottom to the top where Ikaho Shrine is. There were many shops along the way where I could eat sweets and snacks, which was fun. It was a good workout.

Speaking of famous hot springs in Kanto, it must be the famous Kusatsu Hot Spring. It is undeniable that before I went there, I also saw sharing articles on the Internet. This time, not only Kusatsu Hot Spring was included in the plan, but also Ikaho Hot Spring. In the travel plans.
Although Ikaho Hot Spring is very famous, it is not as well-known among overseas tourists as Kusatsu Hot Spring. There are not many articles introducing Ikaho Hot Spring. Before setting off, I did some research on the sightseeing map of Ikaho Hot Spring area. The most important area to visit is Ishidan. The street is the center.
This is one of the most well-known attractions of Ikaho Onsen. Although it is only a stone step, walking slowly through the hundreds of stone steps still requires some physical strength. Stone Street has become a must-see for every tourist who comes to Ikaho Onsen. Not only You only need to take pictures and experience these 365 stone steps in person. If you actually walk this once, you will feel like you have arrived at Ikaho Hot Spring.
If you don’t specifically choose to stay in Ikaho Hot Spring for one night, and just take a day trip and visit nearby attractions, the time is completely sufficient. For example, I came to Ikaho Hot Spring and stayed for an hour and a half, and walked through Stone Street without going to Kawalu. I just went to the Ikaho Shrine to see the bridge. This place can only be seen after walking up 365 stone steps. Most people come here. It is said that it can improve luck and pray for good luck. In addition, you can see the scenery of Ikaho from here.
Although walking up the stone steps is a bit time-consuming and tiring, there are quite a few shops and restaurants along the way. There is also a footbath. Although not as good as the Kusatsu footbath, the footbath pools are mostly small and provide a bit of a resting place for people. the location of.
Since it was winter when I arrived, even though there was a footbath, there were few people there. Maybe I came here to stay at the hot spring house, or just to have fun, or to eat the special food here. There is a TV show here. There were always queues of people at the stores I was introduced to. Even though I was curious, I ended up becoming a spectator. Looking at the satisfied expressions of the buyers, it may be that they were what they expected or that they had finally eaten.
In short, playing here is not only about experiencing the famous hot spring area, but also the Shiduan Street that appears in front of you. I don’t know why the pattern on the special postcard always comes to mind. Maybe I bought this Postcards have a special feel to them.
Let me briefly introduce the transportation to Gunma Ikaho Onsen. Generally speaking, there are many ways to get there. One is to take a bus from Tokyo, the other is to take a bus from Shibukawa, and the other is what I want to introduce. It was also the transportation that brought me here. I chose to start from Takasaki, pass through Lake Haruna and then to Ikaho.
This method of starting from Takasaki is relatively unpopular. The reason why I chose it is actually that I set off from Tokyo early that morning to visit Mt. Tanikawa. On the return trip, I took the 11:44 Shinkansen from Jomo Plateau to Takasaki. After getting off the bus from Takasaki, I still I have some time, first I can buy some things, and secondly I go to the bus information center at the west exit of Takasaki Station and buy a Haruna Ikaho free pass. It is a one-way pass starting from the west exit of Takasaki, passing by Haruna Lake, passing Haruna Shrine, and finally arriving at Ikaho. of a ticket.
Let me briefly explain the use of this ticket, because it is a one-way ticket, and the direction can only be from Takasaki to Lake Haruna and then to Ikaho. This ticket is 1,750 yen per person, because the ticket can be up to Write six people, but I don’t know if six people can share one sheet.
If you are a friend who bought this ticket, and get off at the terminal Ikaho bus stop, the driver will take back the ticket, so the friend who bought the ticket should be careful to keep this ticket, because the ticket does not recognize the person. The bus will stop at Haruna Lake for about 10 minutes on the way. Don’t think there is a restroom to use, because I thought so before. In fact, you have nothing else to do except look at Haruna Lake, because the area is a bit desolate, so it won’t There are no shops, some may be restaurants or souvenir shops, and you may have to walk a little distance to get to the boat, which may take a little time, because the next bus will arrive soon, so try your best Just get off at the point where you get off the bus, because that's where the bus gets on and goes to Ikaho.
The bus will pass by Haruna Shrine. Generally speaking, since I go there in winter, the most I can get off on the bus that day is in the city. In fact, there are only a few passengers after leaving the city. I really go to Ikaho I was probably the only passenger who got off the bus, because the other two got off at Haruna Shrine, which is also a recommended attraction.
If you are optimistic about the train schedule, you can go there. The journey from Takasaki West Exit at 12:30 (2023/02) to Haruna Lake is 13:55, which is a bit long, so it is recommended to use the restroom at the station. Take the bus. After a short stop at Lake Haruna, the bus will set off for Ikaho. At this time, you will come to the scene of Initial D in the animation, which is the real location of the five exciting hairpin turns in the animation. It is really quite circuitous. , but there is a real visual sense of watching animation.
Before Haruna Lake, I was a young female driver. After that, I would switch to an experienced driver when I went to Ikaho, which would test the driver's driving ability. In short, the time I left from Haruna Lake at 14:05 and arrived at Ikaho Bus Station was 14:23 When you get off the bus, just give the ticket to the driver. When you get on the bus at Lake Haruna, simply show the ticket you hold.
After getting off at the Bo Xiang Bao bus stop, you can choose to walk up the path. From there, you can walk to Ha Luqiao. It’s just a little time-consuming, and the main thing is uphill. In fact, I haven’t walked it myself, so it’s hard to say. How long does it take? If your destination is Shiduan Street, then after leaving the bus station, walk downhill. In about 5 kilometers, you will arrive at the beginning of Shiduan Street. The reason for this is , if you want to take a picture of the stone sign of Ikaho Onsen, you have to go down a few more steps. Basically, it is recommended to take pictures on the way back to the bus stop, because after taking the picture, you can walk up the road again. You can then return to the bus station.
There are two bus companies: Etsu and Gunma. When I came here, I took the Gunma bus. On the way back, I had to take the Kan-etsu bus. Pay attention to the stop signs. As long as the sign says your destination, you can do it. There are restrooms there if you need them. A little further up, there are many restrooms in the hot spring area, which are much brighter and cleaner than those at the bus station. Personally, I feel that the lighting in the restrooms here is not very good, so if you mind, you might as well go there on Shiduan Street. Come and take a ride.
As for the return trip, I chose to take Kan-Etsu Transportation to Shibukawa Station and then take the Kusatsu train. Although the boarding point is called Ikaho Harunaguchi, it is actually the alighting point where I just took the Gunma Bus to Ikaho. It's really wonderful and I can't explain why.
Since the bus time in winter may be very long, it is recommended that when considering the bus to take, try not to delay it for too long. For example, today I took the bus from Harunaguchi to Shibukawa at 15:50, and then transferred to Shibukawa at 16:27. Kusatsu, because the time I arrived at Shibukawa was 16:17, the waiting time was not too long, and it gets dark earlier in winter, so there are very few lights near the Ikaho bus station, so I basically considered this reason If you choose to leave early, you can stay longer unless you are driving by yourself or coming outside of winter.
Although I didn’t visit Ikaho for a long time, it was really just a big trip. If I come in autumn, I believe that Kawashika Bridge will be beautiful. There are also scenic spots near Haruna Lake that can be planned together. Because of the traffic I came to Ikaho Onsen for a brief visit this time. If I have the chance, I will consider coming in autumn. The most important thing is to see the beautiful scenery here. Because the time is too short, I feel that I still have more to say.
