Ibaraki Botanical Garden is one of the greatest botanical gardens in Ibaraki, and it is located in Naka city. You can see many kinds of flowers, tropical plants and subtropical plants there.
I’d recommend participating the seasonal events. I went to the “Spring Rose Exhibition” on May 22nd to 23rd, this year. It was very beautiful with fantastic roses, and I enjoyed shopping at the general store.
After it rains, the garden path is slippery because of the fallen wet leaves. You should walk carefully if you go there after a rain.
And, there are no restaurant. You should bring any foods there. You can enjoy the picnic!
We can enjoy the garden all year, but I think the summer is a great time to visit. In a summer at night, the garden is decorated with lights. It is very beautiful and adds an especially nice view! If you want to see the botanical plants in the summer, you should wear breathable clothes. It takes about 30 minutes to get around in the entire greenhouse, but it is always steamy.

良く手入れされた広い植物園で、イベントが数多く企画されているので、確認して行くと良いでしょう。県内の石岡には県のフラワーパーク、水戸市立の植物園、筑波の実験植物園など多く、羨ましい限り。意外と近所だと頻繁に通わないのかもしれませんが、季節毎に利用して自然や植物の移ろいを満喫したいものです。

大人３００円ですが７０歳以上は１５０円です。針葉樹園や落葉樹園など木々が豊富です。今は、アズキナシがきれいです。シャクナゲやボタンもあります。熱帯植物館はとりたててめぼしい花はないですが、エレベーターで３回まで登ると見晴らし最高です。隣接する鳥獣センターや県民の森が見渡せます。

猛暑の時にライダーズジャケットを着てバイクで行きました。これはもう地獄です。それなのに熱帯植物園に行きなんて、なんて選択ミスかと思いましたが、すべての扉や窓を開けていたので、風が通り意外と涼しかったです。でもバラの咲く６月や１１月に行った方が良いかも。熱帯植物園はそんなに大規模ではありませんが、ちゃんとゾーンで展開していて良かったです。これで３００円は安いですね。

ちょっとしたお散歩やバラ好きな方におすすめします。
それから、熱帯植物が展示、生育している温室もなかなか楽しいです。
昔、kinkikidsがCDのカバー写真の撮影で使ったそうです。
近くを通ったら一度行ってみてください。
